Walks, napping with his momma, cuddling, being rubbed in between his eyes, playing ball, visiting Grandma's and her doggies, and many other random activities.
pretty tolerant of everything- he isn't a big fan of bigger dogs unless he knows them.
Plush balls- he LOVES to lick them so that his scent is all over them and he cannot go to bed without it.
Vegetables- he does not like meat. The only meat he does like is Bacon.
Anywhere- as long as he gets to go.
Sit, lay down, roll over, high five, shake
In October of 2004, I decided that is was finally time to take the next step in adopting a dog instead of just talking about it. I chose to go to the Upper Sandusky Humane Society (here in Ohio) and look through the dogs where I hoped to find my perfect companion. The Upper Sandusky Humane Society has many dogs and has great people who work there. I walked in the door and was met by a worker who would walk me through the shelter and tell me about the dogs and help match me with a dog who would be great for my lifestyle. I was looking for a smaller dog who wouldn't get much over 30 lbs. I walked in through the first door where they kept their puppies in a large pen with hay and saw that there were two Chihuahua mixes, a boy and a girl. I pointed at them and the lady said that they had been brought it with their brothers and sisters and they were the only two left. The female had actually already been adopted and was awaiting to get her shots. My eye initially was caught by the male's and I stuck my hand inside the pen and he was trying to jump up my arm and playfully bite my hand. I swooped him up into my arms and he immediately began licking my face and ears- anything he could reach. He then settled down into my arms and began to fall asleep. I knew I didn't need to look any further. I told the girl I wanted him and she asked if I was sure because we hadn't even walked through the next door where there were at least 30 cages filled with dogs. I was sure. He was the one I wanted and wanted to rescue. I filled out his papers and they told me it would be 3-7 days because he had to be neutered and receive his shots. After I left there, I could not wait to go back and get him. I went right to the store and bought a million things that I knew I would need (or just wanted) for him- toys, beds, blankets, food, collars, leashes...and so on. I called everyday after that to see if he was ready and finally the day came where I could go pick him up. I carried him from the shelter to the car and he rode on my lap the whole way home. He was a joy and settled in as part of the family almost immediately. He is my little man, my baby, my joy
Did you say ball?!
