Arrival Story:
Jim found her hiding under a car in his work parking lot. She was only 3 months old, terrified, obviously abused and dumped. He called me to pick up a dog to take care of. She was only about 5 pounds! We tried to find her a good home but she came back twice and I decided she stayed. She attacks men. It's been hard to get through but I have and she's my baby.

Bio:
Maggy left us, for Rainbow Bridge, just before Christmas 2005. We miss her so dearly. We hear her barking, we watch for her to come running under our feet when we come in, we watch where we sit when there's a bunch of blankets. She'll never be truly gone. I love and miss you wholeheartedly, Maggy. God bless!

Home Again

December 15th 2005 12:25 pm   [link to this entry]

I came home today.

Mommy was sad that I was ashes in an oak box. But I'm home again.

I got sick last week Wednesday night. Mommy took me to the doctor on Thursday and never got to bring me home, until today. She put me and my box by my picture she has of me. It's really a nice little shrine on a chest. She even bought me a special Pointsetta that she will keep alive forever. I know Mommy and Daddy miss me so terribly. But maybe they can help save another doggie in the future.

Poor Brandy wanders around on Mommy & Daddy's heals, wondering where I am and why they are so sad.

Poor Daddy held me as I died. He kept me comfortable and I felt very content and secure when they put me to sleep. I hope he gets over the guilt he feels. I am better off with God than surgery to remove the large tumor from my belly, just to recuperate and then get sick again and die anyway in a few months. Daddy still thinks it was the wrong thing to do and wishes he had me back... Well, now he does. I'll be with him forever in his memories.

Mommy will learn to move around the house without trying to avoid stepping on me. Brandy will learn to live without my growl from under the covers when she jumps on the bed. And Daddy will learn to live without me bugging him everytime he opens the refridgerator. They all will learn to live without me physically running around. They will remember the good times we had as a family. They will learn the lessons and move on to give Brandy a good and loving home, as always.

To my dogster pals: I'm sorry I didn't get to say goodbye until now.

God bless!

Maggy

Kids, kids, and more kids

I've had a great week playing with a bunch of human kids!

On Thursday, mom brought home this really nice boy I haven't seen in a long time. He's a great kid who loves me and lets me lick his face a whole bunch! He throws the ball for me, and gives me all kinds of loves. He's a great guy, this Jesse. I can't wait to have him over again.

Then yesterday, mom's other kids (friend's kids) came over cuz they didn't have school in their town. I had some fun with them. But boy does that Joey get afraid when I bark. What doesn't he understand about "Get me a treat!!!"? He just stands still! I'll get him trained though. I've been working on it.

But Tony! He's a great kid who plays with me! Well, now that Brandy has come around, he plays with her more but I know he still loves me. He tries to get me to play with them and lay down with him. He's kinda cute.

I wonder what they did the whole time they were gone. Brandy didn't move for the rest of the day! She must have had a great run somewhere! But where???

I'm the top dog around here!

Some of you have met my sister, Brandy. Well, she came along AFTER me! Don't you forget it! I taught her how to roll in nasty smelling stuff, hide the bones and chewies, and how to get attention when you want it! She learned it all from ME!

Now that we have that cleared up. I'm Mommy's baby. Daddy is my big protector but Mommy gives me good luvs! Okay, Daddy can too. I like riding in Daddy's lap when we're in the car. And if a big bully comes along, Daddy will take care of them for me, so I just stand behind him and let him do his stuff!

Mommy calls me her baby doll. I am darn cute, ain't I? I sure am glad Mommy brought me here to meet some friends. Brandy can hog the attention sometimes.

Woof ... Who's got a bone for me?
