Arrival Story:
I was doing some Christmas shopping and it was time for lunch. I was just passing by a Dim Sum house and decided to stop in. Chinese cuisine is my FAVORITE. It was very crowded, but I managed to get a seat at a small table for two. Within just a minute, a very nice looing Dachshund approached my table and asked if he might share my table since there didn't seem to be another seat to be found. By the time we were ready to leave, we had discovered we had so much in common and we wanted to spend some more time together. So Rudy came along and helped me finish my Holiday shopping, and I helped him find things to buy for his adorable little nephew and nieces. He said he had first noticed me in the Dim Sum house because I reminded him of his sister Shiloh. I was soon to find out what a lovely compliment that was! For the next week, we were inseparable and our friendship had already grown into the love that both of us had been searching for. On New Year's Eve, Rudy asked me to become his Bride. Neither of us really wanted a big lavish wedding, since we don't really have any friends, only family. So on Saturday, January 3rd 2009, we eloped and I became Mrs. Rudolph Von Brossart in a lovely private ceremony at Rudy's family home, St. Nicholas Village. My daughter was there, and Rudy's sister Shiloh (who is a minister at the Village's Crystal Ice Wedding Chapel) performed our ceremony. It couldn't have been more perfect! Rudy and I are on our honeymoon in Shanghai, China right now. And from there, we're going to Japan. But I'll be joining some groups soon, and I hope to make friends with many of you!
