Arrival Story:
Barney is one of my neighbors millions of dogs. Most of his owners dogs are coyote/dog crosses but Barney clearly isn't.... well, he doesn't look it anyway. Barney wandered up to my house one day and hasn't left! Tank and him are best friends. Hailey and Momo don't like him much. They growl and snap at him all the time. His owner came up to our house wandering if we'd seen their other dog a chihuahua/pekinese named Eegore (not sure how to spell it). We said no. They said Barney was their dog and that his name was Barney (we hadn't known before). Then they left without Barney! We think he is a beagle/pointer cross but we're not sure. They didn't tell us what breed he is so we're guessing. He's made himself right at home here and doesn't plan on leaving any time soon. He had a HUGE red collar on. It looked like it was for a much much bigger dog but they put it on him and he's only the same size as Hailey. It looks like it's for a horse (yes I know horses don't have collars)!!!! We took it off and got him a smaller red collar. :)!!

I've learned from a neighbor that Barney has crossed the rainbow bridge. :'-(

My neighbor said that Barney died. Barney left for like 4 months and we met up with a neighbor at the gas station and she said she thinks he died. I haven't seen him at the neighbors house either. The one who owned Barney also had a yellow lab. The neighbor who said Barney died also said that her dog a shih tzu who had been missing for a few months but was just found got attacked by the yellow lab. Barney's owner offered to pay the vet bills but she said that her dog was in his yard so it's okay, she'll pay them. Well, Barney may rest in peace.
