A new start: I get a new home on Dec 31 2008!!

I have been here nearly a year...and I love my family. I finally learned what toys are and what fun it is to run and chase my brothers all over the house. I lost my oldest brother, Hunter, in Sept. He was pretty old (11) and he started having problems with his kidneys. My mom and dad had to have him put to sleep....and I miss him. He was a nice old guy.....

I am doing really good, Mom says......I got totally house trained thanks to the liver treats that they plied me with every time I went outside....so have that under my belt. Now I am driving everyone nuts because I am shedding and the hair is on everything....mom vacuums several times a day but it is no use.....and she brushes and brushes me but it keeps coming off! I have lost enough hair to make 10 dogs....and still no end in sight. Guess that came with me being an outside dog before my new home and it was a cold winter. Now that I am inside....well, it is raining hair!
My new homeFebruary 10th 2009 11:48 am[ Leave A Comment ] Well, I have been in my new forever home for about 6 weeks...my siblings are pretty awesome guys. Blake (a golden like me) is loads of fun to play tug of war with and run helter skelter through the snow with. He has shown me how to dig around in the snow and find hunks of ice that we chow down on ....and my crazy Viszla bro is totally a nut case. We race each other up and down the stairs making mom crazy and nearly sending her flying (don't think she appreciates that much but we love to do it and can't help ourselves!!!)....My older (and much wiser brother, I must add), is a kind old soul who lays on his bed and watches us do stupid stuff....sometimes I think he shakes his head in awe of our antics but I'm not so sure. He gets crazy usually in the morning after breakfast and chases me around barking and jumping but that about does it for him for the rest of the day. He prefers to sit in the front window and watch the wild turkeys in our yard. Don't tell anyone but my plan is to have one of those turkeys for my very own....I already tried one day....I jumped the little white picket fence out front and took off running but dad yelled and I had to come back....so close yet so far away.....that's about it for now...gotta go raise a ruckus somewhere or plow the back yard that is full of snow with my nose!!!
