Arrival Story:
Piper was found, by a rescue group, living at a gas station and begging food off of customers there. They put her in a foster home, where I got her as a companion to Jake. The two of them get along really well and keep each other company when Mommy isn't home.

Bio:
Having found a home, Piper has really decided to "take life easy" (a nice way of saying she's pretty lazy). She's happy to let Jake be the alpha animal, and spends most of her time just sleeping or resting. Sun-bathing on the deck is nice, and the only time she gets excited is if there's some animal in the yard to chase. We know Piper is part Husky because she has one brown eye and one blue eye, and her coat is that thick, fleecy-type fur, especially around her neck and shoulders. Also, her skin is dark (you can see this on her belly, where the fur is thinner). Like her brother, Jake, Piper is a Redskins fan, which you can see by her nifty jersey. Update -- 10/18/2011 -- Piper has been struggling with lower back problems, which affected her back legs, and cognitive decline issues for the past year. The bad days were out-numbering the good days, so I finally decided it was time to end her suffering, and Piper has passed-on to the Rainbow Bridge.
