Humph, I hear that momma has signed me up to spend 15 minutes with a woman who is supposed to be an animal communicator. Her name is Lydia Hiby I am going to do this on October 3rd. Momma is hoping she will be able to give her some insight into why I do the things I do but quite honestly I don't think 15 minutes is going to be enough time - BOL.

Lets all take a moment to remember those who lost their lives and loved ones during September 11, 2001.

I got a riddle for you

What do you get when your humans paint the sewing room light gray?

Answer: A black dog with a gray head - BOL, BOL

Yup, ole Coco managed to stick her noggin in wet paint. No pictures taken because momma failed to see the humor in the whole thing. She cleaned the paint off of Coco before any pictures could be taken. Me, I managed to stay out of the paint.

A day with mom

I got to spend most of today with my momma. We went to the natural pet food store and momma got Coco Rose and me a bag of beef liver treats wrapped with slices of chicken. She also bought me a harness so that when I ride in the car she can attach the harness to the seatbelt so I will not be able to try to help her drive the car.

She then took me to the groomers and I got a bath and a hair cut. I'm nice and white again. After the groomers we went across town and picked up Coco from the vets office. It was a very busy day but now I'm tired so off to sleep I go.

I've had enough of this

I tell you I just don't understand my humans. When I first moved in with them, they complained that I was too thin. Now that I have added a "few" pounds, I keep on hearing comments indicating that I am fat.

I have never once pointed out to my human daddy that his shirts are not shrinking as he claims they have, nor have I snickered as I watched my momma lay down on the bed in order to zip her pants (come on you all know what I am talking about here). Humans carry much more weight on them than we do, but yet, my humans went out for dinner tonight and did not bring Coco or I anything back to eat.

I could smell the food on both of their breaths. I waited for one of them to give me something yummy to eat, but no morsel was offered. Instead, momma put down some dry dog kibble for me.

I am suggesting that the humans should eat what I have to eat because if it is good enough for me, why not them? In the process, I will be certain to monitor the portion size so my humans can loose some of those excess pounds that they are carrying around.

It sounds fair to me.

Upset tummy

What's this - no food from the table stuff? All I did was go potty on the carpet again now daddy is thinking something I am eating is upsetting my stomach.

I can usually count on getting something from the table from momma, but tonight she didn't give me anything. She told me it isn't fair to daddy that he has to continually clean up after me so she is doing what he says for once.

I don't think I like this rule so will someone please ship me a McDonald chicken nuggets?

Alyshia came over again

The youngest human daughter and her friend Alyshia came over yesterday so of course I made a beeline to Alyshia's lap. She is a really good source of pets and rubs and I like the attention that she gives me. Both daughter and friend were over here most of the afternoon and when they left, we needed to take a nap with momma because we were all worn out. I love the weekends!

We had set our comment section so no comments could be left on our diary page. However, apparently because my typist left a comment on someone else’s diary, the feature was turned back on by Dogster Headquarters. Because we have received a request or two for us to activate the comment section we are going to leave it on for now to see how it works. So, let the comments begin....

I am a working dog!

It is with great pride that I announce that I have found gainful employment. Yes, I am now the agent for Bukka and Josh the barn dogs

It is my job to get both Bukka and Josh a much deserved Bully stick raise. My clients work in extreme conditions as they are located in Wyoming. The temperature in the summer gets up to around 90 degrees on the warm days when the sun is blazing down and dips in the winter to -20 degrees with deep snow drifts filling in every valley. If those are not enough negative working conditions how about the variety of wildlife that these two Great Pyrenees must keep away from the herd? At any given time, they might have to defend the herd from elk, deer, fox coyotes, mountain lions, moose, bears and many other natives.

I have noticed that the Alpaca herd continues to grow, but sadly the rewards for standing guard have not. Would you please take a moment and go to their site and inform their humans that Bukka and Josh deserve a Bully Stick increase: my position as their agent depends upon it.

I swear it wasn't me!

This morning momma was supposed to be getting ready for work but after she took her bath, she wanted to lay down on the big bed "just for a moment". Of course Coco and I were right there begging to be lifted up to that comfortable bed. Momma let us up there while she watched a TV program. All of a sudden my kitty sister Bay-Ling jumped up on the bed but got scared because she didn't know we were up there with momma (Bay-Ling isn't scared of us, she just scares easily). Bay-Ling did a no-no on the bed and jumped down. Momma saw the present Bay-Ling left and immediately stripped off the bedding before daddy saw it.

It wasn't me this time, really.
