It’s hard to believe that you turned 8 years old today. I look at you and think about the scared little guy who was crying his eyes out when his foster mother left you you here. You ran from door to door looking for her to come take you back to the animal rescue group. Your whole body shook uncontrollably as you expressed your dismay at being left behind. You did not stop this behavior over night as it continued on for weeks. I remember thinking at the end of the second week that maybe we made a mistake adopting you as you seemed so very unhappy. Those early pictures of you show the sadness in your eyes.

I still wonder why such a sweet little guy like you had four different homes in your life time that we know about. Maybe one or two of them were with people that didn’t understand having a dog is lots of work, expensive and a life time commitment. All I can say at this time is it was certainly their loss and my complete gain.

After three years you have settled in nicely. Gone is that scared, sad little guy who cried and shook. In his place is the confident and happy fellow who loves to play with his mountain of stuffies and follow me everywhere. Coco Rose took to you right away and she let you follow her without complaining as you learned the ropes around here. She is your fursister and the ring leader in your daily adventures and crimes around the house.

You are my sweet baby boy and I love you completely. I look forward to celebrating many more birthdays with you in the years to come.

Awhhh...what a sweet tribute. I too know what it are like not to be wanted and what a blessing it is to finally find a loving home. Please humans...give some serious thought before bringing a dog into you's home. Remember we has feelings and being rejected hurts us deeply. WE SHOULD NOT BE DISPOSED OF SO EASILY!!!! (sniff, sniff) Nuff sed.

Puff Puff we are so sorry we missed your barkday yesfurday! You had such hard start to your little life *sniff sniff* but we celebrate how wonderfur it is now!

I had a GREAT day and all of you helped make it that way. I did get lots of belly rubs, treats, roasted chicken for dinner and a new stuffie. Momma kept on singing the Happy Birthday song to me, which I could have done without, if you know what I mean - BOl, BOL
