It has been quite a day and night at my house. Arleenton, my bunny sister has been spending a lot of time in the small crate in our house because it has been cold outside and she being old has lost a lot of weight thus she is unable to keep warm in colder weather. Momma lets her stay in as long as possible but when the sun is out she lets her go back outside to hop on the hill and sit in the sun for a bit. After a bit, momma will again go get Arleenton and put her back in the crate where she is safe and warm.
Hmmm, dat possum sounds interesting but dat showing teeths part don't sound too good! That wasn't nice - they were in YOUR yard! Do you have any stripped kitties?(skunks) We have them in our yard. Glad you are OK and listen so very well to your Mom. ~ Puff: Bunny Herder Yeah, watch out for them striped keecats. No good. Could you have Animal Control come and set a humane trap for the possum? It is good you listened to your momma, Puff. I have never seen a possum! YIKESES! I hab neber seened a possum, bud if him wuz showin' yu hims teef, Puff, I du nod fink him wuz TU habby :O An' dose bwack an' white kitties Zoe r tawkin' 'bout? I r neber 'llowed tu go neer dem. Wheneber we du see one, I ged scoopded up an' we wun wike da wind back intu da howse!?! There was one of those in our yard and it chased daddy! He was such a little scaredy cat. I barked and protected him. Good thing I was there or he surely would have passed out and it woulda bit him. ohhh, be very careful with those possums, they can be very nasty Nasty or tasty??? Opossums are nasty critters! Mom about had a heart attack when Misty and I found a momma and her babies living under our back shed. But the funniest story of all is when Mom first bought our house and it was summer time. (Oh to have summer time here already). It was kind of late and getting dusk time and we were up at the top of the hill barking. She had bodka dwip™ in one hand and a flashlight in the other and walked up the trail to see what we were up to. She was wearing her bare naked feet too, and prissy footing over the rocks. Our Opossums grow big and nasty. There was one at the top of the hill hissing, clicking and growling at us. We of course were barking and barking. Mom finally got us to head down the hill by shrieking. Then she turned around to try and scare off the Opossum and it made a move toward her. Mom distinctly remembers wondering what she should throw at the Opossum if it charged. She really needed the flashlight to run down the hill, but really didn't want to lose her bodka dwip™. This flashed through her mind many times, many times. Luckily the Opossum decided to walk away, just walk away. Mom got to keep her bodka dwip™ and we headed into the house. Scooter!! Yur Mom needs ged one ob my portable bodka dwips! It r called da 'Portable Bodka Dwip™! Dem r nod yet abailable tu da generwal pubwik, bud cuz we r all 'famiwy' here on dis Dogster fing, I r gonna hook hur up wif one. BOLBOLBOL Ged it?? I r packin' it up as I wite dis! which r tuff tu du, bud I r duin' it :D Scooter, momma laughed and laughed reading your comment and said she knew exactly what your momma was thinking because she too was wondering what she could throw at the possum that was in our yard. Momma didn't have on her bionic ears so she couldn't hear the possum making any noise but could tell by it's body language that it was very unhappy as it was showing it's teeth and was not running away from me. It was dark outside but with the back porch light on the possum was clearly seen. Momma said she would have liked a Bodka Dwip™ afterwards - BOL, BOL |
