Once again I had to go to the vet but this time momma put me in my pooch bag so that if by chance I decided to download a #2 it would not get all over her - BOL, BOL

I really liked the bag and snuggled in it trying to disappear so I wouldn't have to see the vet but momma knew where I was and took me out so the vet could examine me.

I lucked out and got the young lady vet who really likes me and she looked at my eye and face and head and said she thought I might have been bitten by a spider, which we have a lot of at home. My eye is red and swollen. Before she could prescribe any antibiotic ointment for my eye she had to do a test to see if maybe one of the kitties or Coco had scratched my eye. She put in some drops in both eyes and then turned off the lights to see what was going on but everything was fine except for the swelling and sores. I now have some eye anitbiotics that momma has to put into my eyes and some ointment for the sores on my face.

When we were leaving Pet Smart I tried to talk momma into buying me a new stuffie but she said something about her just spending a lot of money on me so she thought I could do without a new stuffie and she didn't get me one - can you believe it?

All in all this wasn't a bad visit because I did not get any shots or have blood taken so I'm happy, although I eould have been even happier with a new stuffie.

We have lots of spiders at my house too. We have never been bitten by one though. I wonder why we have so many spiders in California? We have mostly Daddy Long-legs at our house and mom thinks they are harmless.

Awh, I'm sowee to read that you didn't get a stuffie after being such a cute and well-behaved pooch at the vet place. Would you like my leopard stuffie for comfort?

If it was a spidey bite, how long does the ouchie take to go away w/ antibodyotics and eye dropsies? May the power of the paw be with you dear Puff! Keep us posted. :hugs:

Hobo, We have Daddy Long-Legs, Tarantulas, Black and Brown Widow and all kinds of other spiders. Coco likes to eat them – YUCK. Just the other day momma found a baby Tarantula on our patio table.

Thank you Halo - I was shocked that I didn't get a stuffie but I also wanted to just get out of there if you know what I mean. Coco has to go to the vet on Friday for a booster and momma may take me too because she found even more sores on my face that were hidden behind my hair. She will put the antibiotic ointment on and see what happens.

I get biten sometimes by some crazy type of flies we have and usually on the head so I get a big swollen bump and Chance giggles at me. Don't let Coco giggle at you!

All the buggies are awful up here this year..even ones we don't usually see..... So glad you have what you need for your eye. Next time, a stuffie.... Our people's have to budget cuz health care is so high for peeps and pups.

I'm sorry you didn't get a stuffy. I think you deserved one for putting up with the vet. Next time, why don't you charge the vet for looking at your cute face and then you can buy your own stuffy?

Spider bites can be bad. Mom really swells up from them. Deer fly bites make my eyes swell closed, so mom keeps Benedryl around for me. Hope the antibiotics help.
