Today Coco and I had a vet appointment. Momma wanted to discuss the possibility of having my teeth cleaned and also wanted the vet to check the tumor on my right front leg because it has grown in size and the new one that has sprung up on my chest.
Needless to say I got upset on the way to the vet and started passing gas like you would not believe. It was so bad that momma had to roll down all the windows in her car - BOL, BOL
Once we got there momma took Coco out of the car first then me and we were walked outside just in case one or both had to go potty. Coco chose to do her business in the bushes but I said I didn't need to go so momma took us inside to see the vet.
We both got weighed and nothing has changed there then we were ushered into the little exam room. The technician came in and got up close and personnal with our behinds, listened to our hearts and took down the information that momma gave her.
When the vet came in momma asked if there was any way that they could consider cleaning my teeth and the vet looked at them and said they really were not that bad. Momma pointed out to her that we do pay to have them cleaned but the vet has not done so for over two years now. The vet said they could clean them but most likely I would not survive because of my liver problem. Momma then asked about some advertisements she has seen where someone says they can clean animal teeth without putting the animal to sleep. The vet said that this is done by putting a device in the animals mouth to hold it open and then whoever is cleaning the teeth scraps away the tatar and spray water into the open mouth. If there are any problems the animal can suffer. She said she saw a video when she was in training where the dog was in so much discomfort that it tried to dislodge the device holding open it's mouth and ended up breaking some of it's teeth. After hearing this momma decided this is not something she would put me through - thank goodness.
In regards to the tumors, the vet offered to do a biopsy on the one that is about the size of an small egg on my leg but momma told her it seemed pointless because although it has grown in size it does not appear to bother me in any manner. They will continue to monitor it and if it should start to bother me then they will decide then what action if any will be taken. The tumor on my chest is only a very small one and that one too we will contiue to monitor.
After all this, the vet then picked me up to take me into the back room for a pedicure and I started pooting and pooting. The vet and momma were both waving their hands in front of their face and momma started laughing and laughing. The vet then looked at momma and said "he's a little gassy" - BOL, BOL. A little gassy, let me tell you I'm about ready to BLOW!!!!!! Momma better not sleep through the night because usually when this happens it is followed by a very nasty case of loose stools.
So that was my visit to the vet today. I'll let Coco you how her vet visit went.
Puff.. all in all a GOOD vet visit !!! Congrats on a good visit !
BOL! Way to get back at mom and vet! Good job Puff!
If a vet wants to clean my teeth without putting me to sleep, I hope he doesn't mind missing a couple of fingers. Some things the Deemster will not allow!!! BOL
BOL! BOL! Gaseous Puff is at it again! Next time toot & toot in the vet's face & say "Take that!" BOL!
Puff youse sooooo funny. You gets yer 'venge by jus' be yerself-poot, poot! GRRRRREAT JOB, pal!
Sometimes the technicians and vets who "know" me at the Banfield vet hospital will wrap me in a towel because I have been know to poop on them as they carry me - BOL, BOL
The new vet got off lucky with just some sulfuric poots.
Love that you gassed em out Puffy! BOL It sounds like a good visit though. If you Mom is interested here is a teeth cleaner that she used on me when anesthesia became too risky. It's real easy to use and really does work.
