My first dog. My daughter and husband really wanted a dog and we wanted something from the working class. Buddy was a handful for the first 2.5 years. Almost impossible to keep up with. Now, at 3 years old, he is slowed a bit.

Bio:
I think he looks like Skidboot! Perhaps a little lab mix because Buddy likes to swim. If anybody has a comment on this, I would love to hear more.

Buddy's New Year '09

Very cold in Michigan this year. Once had to put a shirt on Buddy but he urinated in the inside and dragged an iceburg underneath him until we got back home.

His paws are not liking weather < -10'F. If it is any warmer he will bound about in the snow, especially in the AM when I can take him off of his leash. We walk at 315AM so there is no danger of running into anyone. Once he chased a deer that early but with this cold, little animals are milling around.

Didn't think I would enjoy a dog so much but like the fact that we go for walks. I get time to think about my day and things that I can change to make myself a better person.

Wish others knew this joy,
Dana
