Pet-Peeves: Hana does not like other dogs. Doesn't care for being brushed
Favorite Toy: Anything edible. She occasionally throws a warthog around
Favorite Food: Waggers Champion Chips
Favorite Walk: Around the block
Best Tricks: Someone taught her how to shake before we got her.
Arrival Story: Adopted her from Akita Rescue in Southern California, which no longer exists.
Bio: We adopted Hana in April 2005 when there were 3 people in our family. When we brought her home we realized she was incredibly dog aggressive. A short while later we discovered her severe separation anxiety. Not longer after that we noticed seizures... she has epilepsy which is helped by medication. She has IBD but totally under control with antibiotics. She suffers from a UTI that is completely resistant to any antibiotics and causes her, in part due to her bad kidneys, to leak on the floor on a daily basis. Hence, we are part of the Febreze Odor Eliminators Group. Despite walks every 4-5 hours it is a constant struggle. We love her and she has a wonderful personality but all her behavioral and medical problems are hard to deal with, especially for a family that lost one member and the other is a senior citizen.
