I love summer. There's the garden to tend, the chickens to chase, swimming, and plenty of puddles, and these long meandering walks with mom and her friends. Akera and I made mom very proud when we heeled beautifully on our most recent walk. It's no small feat to heel beside mom's knee when Akera keeps trying to crowd me out of the way. Anyway, by the end of the walk mom let me off lead - and I kept heeling anyway. She was so impressed that she told me I was the bestest dog in the world. Duh, I already knew that.
