Time Flies

I know it’s been a long time since I’ve written, it’s been a very hectic year. Mom and Dad are officially ‘tying the knot’ this coming September 8th, and we’ve all been busy doing last minute stuff. In between wedding preparations, me and my family like to spend our weekends outdoors. I LOVE FISHING!!! Yup – I do! It’s my most favorite thing to do!

Mom packs Dad and I up and we spend the day at the lake, in the sunshine (I HATE the rain). Mom makes me this cool little seating area in the shade that I’m super possessive of – anyone walking past gets an earful of growls from me. Mom says they’re lucky I’m tied up ‘cause I may attack!!!! It’s so fun! Dad hasn’t had much luck catching anything this past summer – he blames Mom. I think he just sucks as a fisherman – but don’t tell him I told you! LOL!

ITALIA!! ITALIA!!!

WOW! What a game!! They won the world cup ‘cause of me ya know. See, Mom and Dad hosted a world cup/ pool party/ bbq at my house on Sunday. All our friends were over.

I was representing Italia with my new t-shirt that Dad bought.

Anyhow, half way through the game Mom took it off me – but near the end everyone was asking to put the t-shirt back on for good luck. As soon as Mom put the shirt back on me – Italy scored! Then again! Then we won!!!!!!

Then everyone was feeding me bbq sausage! What a great day!

Life in little Italy

So I've been living with my new family for 6 months now. Things are great in little Italy! Now that it's spring, Nonno and I are outside all day planting tomatos and other vegetables together. I like to dig in the garden - then Nonno swears at me in Italian and I get in trouble.

I made a 'number 2' accident on the kitchen floor and Nonna stepped on it. After she cleaned her foot I was locked in the laundry room on punishment.

I still eat pasta like there's no tomorrow!!

My life has SO changed!

It's been a while - I know - sorry - but Mom and I have been super busy and there have been so many changes in our lives. First of all, I got a new Dad (I know, Mom moves fast)! He's Italian, awesome and totally cute! He was in love with Mom for many years and came to Vancouver to get us and moved us to his house in Ontario. Me, Mom and new Dad flew on a plane to Toronto!!! Mom didn't lock my carry case well enough and I escaped running down the aisle - Mom had to chase after me and was embarrassed because all the other passengers were giggling.

I inherited a big house (that I like to accident in - especially the 'forbidden rooms' making Nona mad) with a pool in the back yard, a Nona, Nono, an uncle, an aunt, a sister named Stella, and a parrot named Charlie.

Mom was terrified to move to this house because of my new sister Stella. See, Stella is a Rottweiler that has killed a couple of dogs and Raccoons in her younger days. Mom was so worried about me – but now Stella knows I’m the boss!!! I don’t know if it’s because she can see how brave I am or the fact that she’s 11 years old, has arthritis and can barely walk now. I think I annoy her more than anything but I love her.

My Nono loves me. He made me my own dish that he’s teaching me to bring to the dinner table. He feeds me pasta. I like pasta. Mom keeps telling him to stop because I’m overweight but he still feeds me. Nona wasn’t thrilled with me at first – she screamed whenever I came near her but now she’s feeding me under the table too!

I’ve snapped at my aunt a couple of times. See, I like to guard the garbage can after dinner when all the left over food is thrown out while Nona is washing the dishes. Sometimes my aunt gets a little to close so I bite her feet. Mom usually yells at me when I do this.

Nona feeds me while she’s cooking too!

I love pasta!

Today is my 1st birthday! Mom and I are waiting for Dad to come home so we can go celebrate. Mom bought me a cake shaped as a bone and Dad has gone to by me presents (Mom told him to do so). When Dad gets home, we’re going to go to the beach so I can dig in the sand till I can’t dig no more! I love birthdays – wish I could have ‘em every day!

Spring Is Here!

I’ve discovered ants! Yesterday, while outside for a pee, I noticed a big, black ant crawling on ground. It was the first time I’ve ever seen anything like it so of course I was curious. I smelled it, and then it freaked me out because it kept crawling towards me. The ant started to run away from me so I followed it nudging it with my nose. It wouldn’t play with me so I gobbled it up. Mom was grossed out.

These past few days have rocked! Dad’s home from work with a concussion, yep, got hit in the head with a soccer ball the poor guy. Anyway, it’s been great just being lazy and sharing quality time with my dad! He’s been secretly feeding me cheese without mom knowing! I love the guy! I wish he could get concussions more often!

Spring is in the air - but not for long!

I know it’s been a while. I’ve just been so busy growing and experiencing new things! I am 6 months old now and boy, am I ever changing! I’m really getting the hang of the pee pee outside business so mom’s pretty happy about that. Another thing I’m noticing are boys! I can walk around for hours smelling fire hydrants, mailboxes, bushes, trees; pretty much anything that smells like boys. Mom finds this bothersome because her baby is growing up. She reminisces about the days when I first came home and can’t believe how time has flown by! Mom says it’s time to get ‘fixed’ – whatever that means!

I have a new boyfriend. He’s Dad’s old stuffed Santa Garfield from when he was a kid. He’s hot. Mom and Dad caught us having relations last night. I’ve never seen Mom so shocked in my life. Dad is very supportive of the relationship – he thinks it’s funny for some reason. Mom, on the other hand, is finding it hard to accept the fact that I’m growing up

What a Weekend!

I had the best weekend ever! Grandma flew here on a big airplane and brought a whole suitcase full of Christmas cakes and cookies! When Grandma took all the cookies from their wrapping – I grabbed the wrapping from Grandma’s hands and took off running! The icing sugar on the wrapping was YUM! I had icing sugar all over my brown nose!

My cousin Bozley slept over at my house. Me, Dad, Mom and Bozley went over to my Aunts house for an early Christmas turkey dinner. The whole gang was there! Molly (the Golden Retriever), Lucky (the tabby cat) and Casey (the geriatric cat). As soon as Mom let me out of my carrier, Lucky grabbed me and put me in a headlock and started kicking me in the head with her hind legs. When she let go, she ran off – I chased after her and let her have it. Big Molly came in the room to greet Bozley. He wasn’t too sure about her because she’s huge and dopey. While I was off busily playing, Bozley was busy getting turkey bits from my Grandma. When I noticed this, I ran to Grandma and tried taking all the turkey bits she was handing out. Grandma said I’m greedy. When Bozley got used to the gang, he was playing ‘pounce’ with Lucky until it was time to go home.

After a fun and exhausting visit at my Aunts, we slept soundly all night, which made Mom and Dad happy. The next morning Bozley and I spent the morning outside playing and going for long walks. Bozley kept playing with my pig ear and I didn’t like it. I would take it away from him and run away. He would chase after me and take it from me. That would get me so mad that I’d growl and chase after him. It turned into a fun game of ‘steal the pig ear’!

I can’t wait until both Grandma and Bozley come over again!
