Lost a brother, Gained a brother

With sadness, I lost my brother Kasey on March 21, 2005. I was so very lost. While I admit, he was not very happy with me for a few months when I joined the family, we soon became best friends, and remained that way to the end. Kasey had a sudden heart attack on that day, and little did I know that was the last time I would see him. When dad came home from the Veterinarian's office, I couldn't understand why Kasey wasn't with him! I looked and looked for days for Kasey, but I never found him again.

A few weeks later- to my surprise, my human Mom and Dad took me to Pa. to get a new brother from the rescue group that I had come from. Diesel! What a name, and what a handful! I knew I had to set him straight right away, and let him know who was boss for sure! I didn't like him much on the way home. My Mom and Dad said it was a long 10 hr drive home. Then we got home and He took over! Playing with my brother Kasey's toys, getting into things....Geesh, what a handful! But by the next morning, I had let him know I was in charge......and we were already best buddies. We are inseparable! My Mom will be letting you know all about my new brother very soon.

I have to admit.......he IS cute. I love him.

Hi! It's me, Maggie. My dad took me to see the vet and I weighed in at 61 pounds. Quite a difference than what I weighed when I first went into a shelter. Think they feed me what I like? :-)

Well, I guess if you've read my brothers' diary, you know all about me.

Ok, enough of the bad stories-

My Dad and Mom said I do have to tell the good with the bad, so, I have taken out a few screens, gotten in the garbage, had a few accidents. But then, my brother has helped! I don't think they believe me, but well, I might have thought of doing the bad stuff, he just helped! And well, I do snore......really bad! But my brother doesn't seem to mind. And I've gotten really good about sharing my food, and not barking at every blessed sound. But I must be a good girl too, cause Mom and DAd tell me I am, and how beautiful I am.

I really like my brother, Kasey. He's really let me be who I really am! You know the phrase - "Be all ya can be!" And I am, ......and more. Maggie
