It's a very sad day. Mommy told me that Maleka went to the Rainbow Bridge today. She'd been having problems this week and the doctors were hoping the medicine would make her better. It didn't, so Mom and Dad knew that Maleka could not go on like she was. Her legs were not working and she was having a hard time. They made the hard decision that this was too much for her to endure.

When Mom and Dad came home and didn't have Maleka with, I knew she was on the train. Maleka and I didn't always get along, but she was a great sister and Mom said she never had a mean bone in her body and was always the sweet one.

Quigley is still just a youngster so Mom and I haven't told him yet. The poor little guy keeps running out to her kennel and doesn't understand why she's not there.

We'll sit down with him tomorrow and break it to him gently. He just turned one and really has no concept of old age.

I will snuggle really close to Mom tonight.

We are comforted that our sibings Callie and Raffles (who've I never met) will be there to meet her with their posse.
