Mom took a tumble and I thought it was my fault

On June 9th, I took Mom and Dad for a walk. Of course it was a beautiful night and I was smelling every spot to tell my friends I had been there. We were strolling when all of sudden Mom stumbled over the uneven sidewalk and I got really scared... and I took off... well Mom always holds my leash tightly, 'cuz after all I am still a puppy... then all of a sudden Dad yelled KOBI and I stopped! I turned around and found Mom sprawled all over the sidewalk like SpiderMan on a wall... okok Like Spiderwoman...

I tried to kiss her and say it's OK Mom... but dad had taken my leash and yanked me hard and said SIT! Of course I listened, I am a good boy!

Mom's eyes were going in all directions, her lower lip was bleeding and she was moaning.... dad asked her if she needed help getting up... she said ... let me check my bones first (see Mom is a RN, she knows what to do)... then she said... ok let me get up by myself... once she got up, she knew her left wrist was injured... Dad said OK Kobidoo, we're going home and I'm taking Mom to the hospital.

Once home, Dad made sure my treats were out and that I had plenty of water, and then he put ice in a Ziplok bag for Mom and off they went... I waited for about 2 hrs... then I heard the key in the lock and Mom and Dad were home. Mom had a funny smelly thing on her arm and Dad said no jumping on Mummy....

But when she went to bed, she told me it was an owwie and I had to be gentle... and I was and snuggled next top her in bed, cuz I knew she needed me to take care of her. HuGz

November 20 2008 - My very first snowfall experience

Oh WOW... it's way cool and fun!!!

Mummy was excited about going outside this morning when I woke up. She put my coat on because she knew what was outside on the ground. She opened the door and it was ALL white outside. All I know ... it was COLD and fluffy and tasted cold and wet ... and I stuck my nose and burrowed through.

BOL.... woooohooooo... what a treat!

Mummy was laughing and chuckling and I had a ball! When I was finished with my toilet business, I burrowed some more and then we went inside. I came back inside with my legs full of dingleballs of snow... which I licked off once I was inside.

Daddy had quite the chuckle at seeing me... and I made his day when he took me out later when Mum was leaving for work... he took me on a long long long walk so I could enjoy as much snow as I wanted... when we got back... I had my brekkie and headed straight for a nap.

Snow mushing is hard work for a furbaby, but it is so much FUN...

November 16 2008 - It's beginning to feel like winter

Nov 15 2008 - It rained all day yesterday and I came in looking like a drowned furbaby everytime and Mummy had to sit down on the bathroom floor and had to towel dryme first and then use the blow dryer (which I do not like on my face). Daddy said I was hypothermic... whatever that means... he said I could find my way home. Mummy scolded him... next time walk him only outuside 'round the house. That's OK Mum I'll remind him ... BOL

God... please tell me again why you gotta make it rain?!?!? This is NOT spring! Mummy says rain is for spring to make flowers and grass grow... this ain't spring yanno God~!!!! did you get your seasons mixed up?

Nov 16 2008 - We got to go on a nice walk this afternoon... In Ching Park!!! and I got to go on a LONNNG walk... smell new smells, run and be carefree... Mummy tooks some pics of me with my red lettermen jacket - Daddy says I am a "spoiled doggy" ... I have more winter and fall coats than most kids! Daddy says that's why we make sure that we give to the Kids Snowsuit Fund - to make sure kids are warm during the winter months.

So Pup Pals... make sure you get your Mummy and Daddy to give to the Kids Snowsuit Fund... keep them warm like us ...

November 8 2008 - my first evening alone

I knew Mummy and Daddy were going out yesterday... My mummy was taking clothes out and shoes and purse which I had not sniffed before. Around 3pm, Mum took out my dinner... I looked at her puzzled... dinner at 3 Mum? Have you lost your marbles? Then Dad even took me out sooner than usual and when I came back in, Mummy looked different and she didn't want to hug and hold me like usual... she was all dressed up. While Daddy dressed up, she kept on going into the bedroom and bringing my stuffed toys in there. Dad mentionned to her that my tummy had been upset during our walk. I just didn't want him to know that I kew that they were going out without me. Going shopping - I understand 'cuz I can't go into the people stores; going to church - I also understand 'cuz Father Peter only allows us woofers in the church once a year. But going out?!?! without me?!?! why? where are they going? how long will they be gone? Who's gonna take me out before bedtime? Mummy and Daddy ? will you be back for me?

Mummy had hidden treats all over the bedroom and by the water bowls. Yummies ... OK the TV is on. Lights are on everywhere... that's good. OK now I'll have a nap and rest before they get home. My bed and pillow are just beside Mummy's side of the bed... yawn... just a lil nap....

Yippeeee!!!! Mummy and Daddy are home... Daddy looks around ... no messy business anywhere. Mummy looks around ... all the treats are gone! Good Boy Kobi !!!

Let's go for a walk... then I can give you kisses and tell you all about the dream I had....

Oct 28 2008 - Oh the weather outside is frightful...

Hi everybody...

Wow it is COLLLDDDD outside and Mum says they are calling for snow... she says it is a dirty 4-letter word... I really don't understand that.

But I got to wear my winter coat today 'cuz it's too cold and I was toasty warm and I wanted to run and run to catch all of the leaves being blown by the wind!!! I almost dislocated Dad's shoulder but he's a BIG guy and thank goodness I am just a lil guy!!

I'll keep you posted on how I do with that white stuff!

Owwies on October 27 2008

Well yesterday I was 16 weeks old... Mummy called the Vet last week to make an appointment to get my booster vaccine and to get my RABIES shot...

We showed up at Dr. Woods'place... up on the scale Kobi... WOW! you weigh 10lbs... you are growing fast everybody says...

OK here comes Dr. Woods... He pulls my face to his and says "What a sweetie" and proceeds to ask Mum all kinds of questions while Mum pets me... ok so this is not so bad!

Mum pulls me up on her shoulder... hmmm great view... OWWIES... what was that?~?~?~?~ that hurt... "OK" Mum says ... "one more" says Dr. Woods... OWWIES

Mum and Dr. Woods talked about what I should have... all of a sudden I am swept away by Alison.... for another OWWIES... but this time it is my microchip!!! Alison says "Good Boy Kobi... this way Mummy and Daddy can always find you"

Mum says I was a good boy .. so why am I feeling like I've been put through a wringer washer???
