Arrival Story:
When I went on the county animal shelter website to see what Scout the Chihuahua looked like, I saw a picture of Toffee and I asked our rescue group to inquire about him because he just looked sooooo cute. Apparently he had come in as a stray and lots of people were interested in adopting him, until they found out he would most likely require surgery on both back legs. I brought Toffee home on 8/30/08. He saw a vet about a week later and it was determined that only one of his back legs needs surgery, but that's still around $1000. So our group is looking for an adopter who would be willing to pay for part of the surgery cost.

Bio:
**Toffee was adopted on 10/29/08 by a family with two other doggie playmates (Jake, a pom mix, and Bitsy, a Lhasa Apso mix) and a big backyard where they can all run around together. The family changed his name to Chico.
