On the morning of 5/23/2011, Sabbath had a stroke. When we woke up in the bed he couldn't move but could see me. I picked him up from the bed and layed him on the kitchen floor by his water bowl while I emailed worked to tell them I would not be in. While I was on the computer, I heard sabbath move a little. So I jumped up and went to the kitchen. He had moved a little. Just then he started to pee on the floor and I could tell by his eyes that he was upset about it. He never pees inside the house. So I got a towel and dryed him off and comforted him. I finished the email and away we went to the vets. They said he had had a stroke and they would watch him in ICU for a couple of days to see how he recovered. I left the office to return home and I got a call less than 10 minutes later that Sabbath had passed. I wish I had been with him like I was with Friday when he passed. He was a fine dog and very loyal. I will miss him.
