Yesterday was such a beautiful day:) Mom and I went for a trail ride with Tequilla. We saw lots of deer and they actually walked along with us. They weren't afraid at all. Maybe because they scented Tequilla and I didn't chase them. Not like Pete and Polly. Mom told me that they chased down a deer and killed it the other day. That was awful!! I don't consider them my friends anymore because I don't want friends that are going to hurt other animals. Anyway, it was nice to finally get out and go on a trail ride. The only problem with spring is that the ticks are back out. Mom has me well protected with my topical and tick collar, but it didn't keep them from jumping on me. At least they didn't attach. Mom went threw me really good to be sure they didn't hitch a free ride home. I'm really glad that spring has finally sprung and I'm looking forward to many more trail rides.

Last night we went back to agility class. Mom said we had a week off, but no more breaks, back to work. We did the dogwalk, which I love and had no problem with. Then we did the tire jump, but that was a different story. For some reason, when it's just me and mom in the room, I have no problem with it. I jumped through it at 16" without an issue, but when I had to do 12" in class, I went around it. Mom can't figure it out and I can't either. I finally did it though. Then I got to do my favorite... the chute!! I just love that thing:) We also did some other stuff where mom had to walk around in front of me and put me on the other side, but mom was totally messing that up. She said it wasn't me messing it up it was her because she was having a "dah" moment. It was kind of funny...LOL:D The last thing we did was walk across some board that wobbled. All the other dogs freaked out and wouldn't stand or walk across it slow, me, I just walked then stood right in the middle and teetered back and forth. I actually thought it was fun. I was tired after class though since we had a week off.
Mom worked on my video for hours last night and it's finally on my page so check it out. It's just my last jump in the finals of 11'8". She was going to put all the jumps on, but opted just for the final one.

Happy St. Patrick Day to everyone!!! I hope everyone has lots of fun today, but don't drink too much of that green beer... LOL:D
Last night I had a playdate with Tanner and I was happy to see him. Of course, I told him all about my dock diving and he said he's sorry he missed it. I promised that he and I will go diving as soon as my pool is opened in a couple of months. We had lots of fun running around and believe it or not, I had all of my energy back and played for a long time:) I also went to the barn with mom. We didn't do much since it started to rain by the time we got there. Mom just brushed Tequilla and talked to some of the people there. I played with Bailey a little and just followed mom around... as usual. We didn't do anything when we got home since mom was on the computer for awhile. I did jump in bed with her when she watched TV and I had no problem sleeping. Tonight is our last night of agility and I'm looking forward to it. Mom said she already signed me up for the next session so I won't miss anything.

Well, what an exciting weekend I had at the Pawsabilities Event. I did all kind of fun stuff, but he best was the dock diving. Keep on reading to hear all about it.
First, I'll tell you a little about dock diving for those of you who don't know. They jump in Waves and each wave had around 60 dogs. Each dog gets 2 jumps and they take the better of the two jumps. The jump pool goes from 0" to over 35'. After the dog has it's longest jump, depending on how far the dog jumps, that will say what division they fall into. The top 6 dogs in each division then moves into the finals and then they place those 6 in that division. So this should help you understand what we're about to tell you.
Okay, so mom made me get up really early and since I can't tell time, I have no idea what time it was, but it was early! We got to the event and there wasn't many people or dogs yet since we were so early. Mom got set up and waited for them to say it was okay to pratice. When it was, mom took me up to the dock. I didn't know what was up since I've never seen anything like this before. It was really long and had funny carpet that looks like grass. We went to the end and mom threw my frisbee out there. I just looked at her. She told me to go get it and I knew what I was suppose to do, but this was a new place and I didn't know this pool so I really didn't want to jump. It took quite a lot of encouragement from mom and a bit of time, but finally I decided what the heck and I jumped. The water was freezing!!! I'm use to the heated pool at Coleen's and are warm pool at home after the solar cover is on. The only thing I thought about was getting out so I left the frisbee and came out. I thought I was done, but mom had other ideas. She took me back on the dock again. This went on for a few times and each time I hesitated and even one time just ran in circles barking at her, but she didn't let up with the encouragement so I just did it and you know what? Each time I started to enjoy it more and more. I was getting use to the water and it was kind of fun jumping off that dock and getting to swim. We got to practice a few more times, but then mom said we were done until it started so back to the crate I went. i didn't mind though because by now, the place was starting to fill up and there were a lot of people, dogs and noise. Oh yeah, LOTS OF NOISE!!! I just can't believe how much dogs bark. I know, I'm a dog, but I like to hear myself think and it was almost impossible to do that this weekend with all the noise.
They finally called our class and we were in line to jump. The line moved slow, but it was finally my turn. For my first jump, Mom took me to the edge of the dock and threw the frisbee and said "go, go, go!" I knew what to do, but I still hesitated. Mom kept encouraging me and finally I did it! Mom was so happy that even the announcer said that mom was happy with that jump. Mom told me that I jumped 9 feet 9 inches and she was SO PROUD OF ME!!!! I could tell she was too because she kept hugging me and kissing me and gave me all kind of treats. I felt good because I made mom happy and that makes me happy:) Shortly after I went for my second jump. This time, the frisbee went toward the ramp when mom threw it so I wasn't sure what to do. I looked at mom and she told me to go get it so I did, but it was closer to me so I didn't have to jump as far. This jump was only 8 feet 8 inches. But you know what? Mom was still happy:) She treated me just the same as the first jump and said that it wasn't my fault that I didn't jump as far, it was her's for messing up the throw. I kind of have to agree with her on that one. Because we jumped at the beginning of the wave, there was a lot of time before we would find out how we did so Megan, mom and I did some other things.
We participated in some of the "Doggie Olympics" and the first thing Mom and I did was the "Get the Pair" race where the dogs had to get pairs of socks in the pile and the one who got the most socks won. Well, there were so many people and dogs around I couldn't concentrate and mom had to play tug of war with the socks to get my attention. We ended up getting 9 pairs of socks and won! The next event was the "Kiss off". Dogs had to kiss their owners the longest to win. Well, mom said I was a shoo in for this one because I am a licker. That's what she thinks! Again, with all the distractions, I couldn't concentrate and only gave mom one quick kiss and then I continued looking all around, but I wasn't the only one. All the dogs did the same thing and because no one really kissed for a long time, we all won. Next Megan did the "Cake Walk" with me. You just walk in a circle and when the music stops, if you are by the prize person, you get a prize. I must say, I wasn't too good for Megan. I kept pulling her and whining because I just wanted mom. There were so many people and I was only comfortable with her and now that I look back at it, I shouldn't have done that to poor Megan because I know she loves me too. But I did try to make it up to her on a couple other games we played. After Megan got her prize, then Megan and I did the "Clean Plate Club". Unfortunately, I am a very finicky eater and I didn't last long. I ate the hot dog and that was it. I wouldn't even eat the dog bone. After that, me and mom did "Leave It" which was just the opposite. They put all kind of good stuff in front of you, but you weren't allowed to touch it. This wasn't really a problem for me because I know when mom says "leave it" I know not to touch it. Heck, mom even puts a hot dog on my nose and I'll hold it there until she says it's okay to take it then I'll flip it in the air and catch and eat it. Sorry, got sidetracked there. So yes, I did well in that one. The last thing was the "Dress 'Em Up" race where Megan had to put a shirt, scarf and socks on me. This was done in teams, but our team didn't win:( Megan said I was good though because I stood still for her while she dressed me. So, as you can see, we did a lot of fun things while we were waiting to find out how I did.
After we were done with the other games, we went back to the crate and mom checked the board. Finally, they put up the list for the first wave and guess what? I CAME IN FIRST IN THE NOVICE DIVISION!!!! We were both so happy we were both bouncing off the walls! Mom kept telling me over and over how proud she was of me and that I did outstanding and she never thought I would even jump my first time out, let alone take first place! She was really happy and called everyone to tell them all about it. But it wasn't over yet. We had to wait for 3 other waves of 60 dogs to see if we made the finals. A friend of mom's that we met this weekend, Terri, was going to call mom and let us know if I made the finals on Sunday. So now we sit and wait. I crashed as soon as I hit the back seat and I slept like a rock all night too. I was really tired from all the mental and physical excitement for the day.
Sunday morning and mom and I are chilling watching TV. Her phones rings and the next thing I know she calls me and says, "You did it! You made the finals!" We were both excited as we started to pack things up to go back to the event. Daddy came along this time since he missed my first time. We got there and set up and I immediately went in the crate to relax. I didn't like the crate before this weekend, but I began to see it as my place of rest and I liked it. Mom checked the board and it I was in 4th place from all the dogs that jumped in Novice over the weekend. Mom isn't sure exactly how many that is, but there was a total of 240 dogs that jumped this weekend so that should give you an idea. Anyway, we had a pretty long wait, but finally, mom took me out and to the dock we went to practice. We got two practice jumps before finals started. I knew exactly what to do. I did hesitate the first time, but not long. My second jump was a little different. Just as I was about to jump, another dog took my frisbee!! I couldn't believe it! That was MY FRISBEE, how dare he!! When mom threw the frisbee again, I was about 10 feet back from the edge and I ran and jumped in this time. There was no way that dog was getting my frisbee again!! Mom freaked out. She said it was awesome that I ran and jumped (because really that is what I am suppose to do) and that I went further because I ran first. Okay, onward. It is time for finals. I am the third dog to jump. I can't wait to get on the dock. We get about 10 feet from the edge again and mom holds me then throws in my frisbee. She releases and I run, but hestitate before I jump again. I don't know why, I just did, but guess what? I jumped 10 feet this time! Better than yesterday. Mom was happy with that because I improved from the day before. But now there is no time to waste. There's only 6 dogs so off the dock, back in line, then back up on the dock within a few minutes. This time I'm going to do it. I'm not stopping at the end. Mom holds me, throws the frisbee again, releases and yells, "go! go! go!" and I do exactly that. I run and launch off the end of the dock. Mom jumps up and down because she knows I went even further and she was right... 11 feet 7 inches!!!!!! Again, we were bouncing off the walls because I did so well and lots of hugs, kisses and treats came my way. The Novice finals were over so now I had to wait to see how I did. Mom dried me off and within a few mintues they posted the results. Mom came back with the biggest smile on her face and I knew I did good. I TOOK SECOND PLACE!!!! This was second place overall for the entire division, not just a wave! You thought we were happy before, huh, nothing compared to this! In the prize bag was my ribbon, toys, lots of treat, and some money which mom said I could go shopping with at PetSmart since I was the one who did the work and was the winner:) Daddy was happy too and gave me some kisses. He thanked me for making mommy so happy and he told me he was proud of me too. I feel like I am the queen of the world right now and I know that this is just the beginning and more dock diving fun will be coming.
Sorry this was so long, but I had to tell you all about it. Mom put up some pictures from the event and she said she will have the video from my jumps up soon. Thanks again to all my pals who sent me their support. It meant a lot and gave me the encouragement I needed. Now, needless to say that I am pooped so I'm crashing for the night and will bark at you all later. I hope everyone had a good weekend too.

So, last night mom told me that me, her and Megan are going to something called "Pawsabilties" on Saturday. I have no idea what that is????? Mom said it will be fun and that I will get to do a whole lot of fun stuff with her and Megan and that there will be lots of doggies there. She told me that I also get to go swimming when I'm there!!! Mom said I'm entered in the Big Air dock dog diving competition on Saturday at 9am. We have to get there really early so mom can set up and then I can pratice. She hopes that I will jump because I only dive at home and at my training place. I am shy, but when I see water, I go crazy!! I'll try not to let mom down, but if I'm really scared and don't jump, I know my mom will still love me.:) I'll let you all know how I do and I'm sure if mom can find someone to video tape me, my jump will be on my page. Wish me luck!!!
BTW, if any of my pup pals are in the area of Harrisburg, PA, come on by the farm show Saturday and cheer me on:)

Last night mom and I went to the barn. It wasn't very nice so we spent most of the time in the barn. Mom did put Tequilla in the arena again to stretch her legs and of course, she acted like a nut bucking, rearing and running. I made sure I stayed out of the arena because there is no doubt she would have run me over! After the barn mom stopped at the grocery store and I just snoozed in the car. She wasn't long so I didn't mind. What bothered me more than anything was when we got home, there were strangers in my house!! Well, at least one. There were two guys, one that was at my house before and I think he is a friend of dad's, but the other guy I never saw before and I let him know that I was uncomfortable with him there. Mom and dad both told me to be quiet that he was okay, but you know me, I have to make sure I get my point across. I kept a close eye on him and even though he tried to be friends, I wanted no part of it. After about an hour he finally left and I was able to relax. Sorry, but I just don't take kindly to strangers in the first place, let alone in my house. I know I should back off when mom and dad tell me too, but that is just something I can't do, especially when it is a guy.

So last night when mom got home, we went outside and played ball for a while. We normally play frisbee because that's my favorite, but it was way too windy for that. After ball, mom set up the jumps to work on flyball, but I think I really messed up:( I went out and got the ball, but coming back, I went way to the right and totally missed all the jumps. Mom was not happy. At first she wasn't too upset and just worked with me one jump at a time to remind me again what to do. I did it right, but then when she asked me for a full run again, I did the same thing and went wide. Mom was really upset and frustrated. Don't ask me why I do that, I just do. After about five times, mom finally gave up and put everything away. I tried to get her to play again, but she wouldn't. I really messed up:( I didn't mean to and I wish I knew how to fix it. Mom was pretty quiet with me the rest of the night. She did cuddle with me later which I was relieved about. Seeing how upset she was, I was afraid she didn't love me anymore. But I should know better than that because my mom would love me no matter what!

Sorry I haven't had an entry in a few days, but mom and I have been really busy. First, as you can tell by my new pix, mom finally got around to taking my St. Patty's Day photo. It isn't that good though because we really didn't have much time to do it and mom didn't have time to go buy props... so you got me with a green hat:) But it gets the point across.
Okay, about my weekend. Friday night I went to flyball and our friend Nance went along. We got there early so I showed off for her on agility. They had some jumps and the tunnel set up so mom had me do a mini-run. It was fun! I love doing agility and it's even better when it's just me and mom and no other doggies. Okay, back to flyball. So, mom said I did good. Although, I had a little issue. They always put the ball on the right side of the box and I would turn right, grab it then run back. But for some reason (and don't ask me why because I can't tell you), the instructor was showing me the left side of the box. Well, being the thinker that I am, when he did that, I just stood there looking at him, trying to figure out what he wanted. I went to that side of the box, but then jumped out because I couldn't figure it out. Finally, I gave up and ran back to mom... without the ball. Needless to say, mom wasn't happy, but I was confused. I was doing great until then. Mom sent me down a few more times and each time I didn't know what the instructor wanted so I came back empty pawed. Later, I tried again and this time the ball was on my left so I figured I was suppose to grab it from there. When I did, mom was very happy with me so I figured I did it right... FINALLY!! If he wanted me to take the ball from the left side, then all he had to do was put it there. I guess I just think too much. So, at the end of class, the instructor said I was coming along really nice and he thinks that I would be a good addition to the team so he invited me to join the Jet Set Flyball team. Mom and I were so excited!!!!!! I was going head of tail with excitement:D Mom was soooooo proud of me that I got all kind of good treats when we got home. I must admit though, class was a bit stressful with all the confusion and I was glad to get home and chill... and sevor in the victory of making the team:)
Saturday I went with mom to the barn. I followed mom around while she cleaned Tequilla's stall and paddock. Mom threw the frisbee for me while Tequilla grazed. After we were finished at the barn we went to pick up Megan. After we picked up Megan, it was on to flyball practice. Now that I was invited to join the team, I had to make the practices too. There were three other dogs from my flyball class that got invited too and I was happy to see some familiar faces. We did a few runs and I did pretty good. The instructor said it will be awhile before any of us "newbies" get to go to a competition, but that we would get there soon. So, as you can see from last week's entries, I spend 4 out of 7 days at the training facility. Mom said we should take up residence there:) Okay, moving on. After flyball, we went home and mom and Megan washed the car. It was such a beautiful day out, just like spring. I really hope that spring is here because that means lots of time outdoors and I love the outdoors!! I hung out while they washed the car and Megan played with me in between helping. Then we had to take Megan back home. I love riding in the car and I get to go just about everywhere with mom which is nice. When I can't, I know it's because she doesn't want me to go with her, but that she's going somewhere I'm not allowed.
Onto Sunday. It wasn't as nice today. It was dreary and rainy so the day was spent inside. I didn't mind though since I had a busy week. It was family poker day so we did have a house full of people again. I usually am herding everyone around, but yesterday, I just laid beside mom's chair and snoozed. I knew where she was and that was all that mattered. After the game, mom and I curled up on the sofa and fell asleep. We both had a long, busy weekend and it was nice to end it so close to my momma.

So last night, Tanner's mom picked up me and mom and we went swimming!!!! I was so excited when we got there and I knew we were going swimming (same building as all my classes, but in the back). Tanner had no idea what was going on and was kind of hesitant about the whole thing at first. I reassured him that all was good. Mom wouldn't let me jump in right away like usual because we had to wait for the owner to come and help Tanner. That is to be sure he knows how to use the ramp to go in and out. I had to do that my first time too. Tanner was funny because when I finally jumped in and he was told he could go in, he just stood there and barked... he didn't know what to do. He finally did go down the ramp and got in. It was so fun to swim with him, just like at home. It took him a little while to figure out how to use the ramp (it took me a few times my first time too), but once he got it, he was good to go. Actually, he didn't want to get out! We swam and played and had sooooooo much fun:D Toward the end, Tanner was getting tired and when mom would throw us a toy, Tanner would sit on the ramp and just use his paw to try and reach it. It was so funny. Tanner spent a lot of time on the ramp and one time when I wanted to get out, he was totally blocking it. Well, I wanted out and I wasn't going to let him stop me. I just pushed right on up passed him and knocked his 88 lbs. right off the side of the ramp. Don't worry, he only fell in the water, but mom and the owner were laughing so hard, I though mom was going to cry. After that, Tanner didn't block the ramp anymore. It was finally time to go so we had to dry off. Tanner and I were really tired and slept the whole way home. It was really fun having a friend to swim with (not that there's anything wrong with swimming with mom though). Mom did take video and I'm sure sooner or later she'll have it on my page to keep an eye out for it. I slept like a rock last night so I'll be all ready for my last flyball class tonight. I can't wait! I hope I do it all right this time and make mom proud:)

So last night mom, dad and I went to the barn. Mom put Tequilla out to stretch her legs a bit (she's still on stall rest until the farrier puts shoes back on) and she was running and screaming like crazy. I wanted to go out with her and settle her down, but mom told me to stay away! Probably a good thing because when her herd mates (Tessa and Lacey) came in, they were all crazy and Tequilla ran so fast that she almost ran into the fence!!! Mom was freaking out and went to calm Tequilla down. I guess that's what happens when she's stuck in her stall for so long. She is obviously feeling better. Anyway, so after that, mom hand grazed Tequilla and threw the frisbee for me like she normally does. This time however, Pete and Polly came to play with me. I'm not sure what they were doing out of their pen, but I was happy to see that I had new friends to play with at the barn... or maybe not? When I went to run and play with them, mom yelled at me to come back. I didn't want to, I just wanted to go play with my friends, but mom yelled again so I had to listen. I was sad because it was the first time since Finn left that I had someone to play with and now mom wouldn't let me:( She told me that Pete and Polly get into trouble and that I can't be friends with them. Well, you know what? Mom was right. A little while later I heard someone yelling and he was Pete and Polly running in the neighbors yard chasing their dogs. I now understood why I couldn't play with them and was happy that I didn't go and get in trouble. I guess mom does know what she's talking about.
