Some things have happened since my last post. Last week mom, grandma, Echo and I went to the dog park and it was soooo much fun! I actually played with some of the other dogs and made a new friend in a baby mastiff named Sam. He was really cool and we played nice together. Echo, not so much, but he and I were like best buds:) We stayed for about an hour. It was such a beautiful evening after all the rain we had earlier in the week that it was nice to be able to run around. When we were done at the dog park, we went to grandma's so mom could cut Faith's (grandma's kittie) nails. Let me tell you, Faith did NOT like that at all. She kept trying to get away from mom and mom was using us to distract her. Don't know how well it worked, but she did finally get it done. Then she let us all go out back and Echo and I played chase. Faith watched us from the porch and we tried to get her to play, but she wanted no part of it.
Friday, mom, grandma, Aunt Lois, Echo and I headed to the mountains. Mom cut the grass when we got there and us dogs ran around and played. Saturday we went picking. We were at so many different places, but mom always let us out at each one. She would go in and do her picking then come out with us until grandma and aunt lois were done. They take like forever! But at least we got to run around and play when mom was done. Check out our picture by the Bargain Barn. When we got back to the cabin later that day, we played frisbee for a while until it started to rain. Yep, it rained. But are you really surprised since it always rains when we go to the cabin anymore. I didn't mind though cause after running all day I was pretty pooped.
Sunday we headed home. Mom wanted to get the grass cut before the rain came again in the week. Mom was a grass cutting fool this weekend. Friday at the cabin and Sunday at home. Dad's on a golf trip so that's why mom was cutting. Anyway, so mom cut the entire yard and when she finished, her leg was swollen and really sore. Mom iced it and propped it up the rest of the night and even went to bed early cause it was bothering her. Only problem is that she didn't get much sleep from the pain. At one point I thought mom was going to go to the hospital cause it was hurting her so bad she couldn't even put weight on it. Needless to say, mom didn't go to work on Monday. I was happy to have her home an extra day, but not happy that she was hurting. Mom went to two doctors that day and they told her nothing was broke, but she has a severe muscle strain in her calf and strain in the ligaments in her ankle. 4 weeks of rest with ice and elevation was the doctor's orders. Poor mom, she just can't win. She was trying to do something nice, but ended up hurt. That leg has been nothing but trouble for her. At least I do my best to be there for her and comfort her. She likes when I lay with her so I try to do that as much as possible.
Tuesday dad came home. We were all so happy to see him:) He was really tired from all the golfing, but glad to see us too. I'm glad dad's back, but now I have to give him back his spot in bed. And just when I was getting use to it. Oh well, I'd much rather have dad home then the bed.
Mom said tonight we have are going to visit Danny if it doesn't rain. I hope it doesn't cause I really like Danny and he's doing so much better with me now. Mom said we're babysitting Emilie this weekend so we won't be doing much. She did give strict instructions that we are NOT allowed to bark. When we bark it scares Emilie and then she cries. As long as no one comes to the house, I won't bark:)
So, that's what's been happening with me. I hope all my pals are enjoying the warmer weather and looking forward to the summer which is just around the corner!
