Favorite Walk:
The back yard b/c she loves to chase the squirrels and chipmunks.

Best Tricks:
She understands not to bark at certain hours of the morning and actually does a "silent bark" to get someone's attention. She simply flaps her jaws as if she was barking but with no sound.

Arrival Story:
Tina picked us out when we were browsing a local shopping center trying to kill some time prior to seeing a movie in the theater. It was a hot day and as we were walking from store to store we noticed a Pet Rescue Service with all of the animals tucked in their seperate kennels. Each and every animal looked at us (if they were not sleeping) and then looked away as if to say "Oh well, another one passes us by". One dog in particular flashed her big brown eyes at us and followed us with those eyes as we TRIED to walk past her. We did not make it. When we asked the foster parent to let us visit with her it became obvious that she had suffered trauma to her leg. The foster parent explained that she had been left tied outside with a leash which grew into her arm and had to be surgically removed. You would not know she had been through such abuse/neglect as she was sooo happy and bubbly while visiting us. We put her back in her cage and went to the movies. I was miserable during the entire movie and as soon as it let out my husband gave me the money and the car keys to head straight back to Tina. She looked as if she knew we were coming back.

Bio:
Tina had horrible seperation anxiety when we first got her. Every time we would leave she would eat the couch, the love seat, the coffee table, the rugs, etc. Our vet offered drugs which we refused. After patience and training (and some new furniture) Tina is now a fantastic member of our family.

I truly don't understand...

Mom let all of us out to play in the backyard last night. The weather was chilly and that makes me “super spunky”!! As soon as we got out there I saw something that I really wanted to play with. It wasn’t my brother Braun, it wasn’t my sister Tina, it wasn’t my sister Ginger…it was a CHIPMUNK! I chased it around the yard and it ran under the porch. I could hear mom yelling my name and I appreciated her “cheering me on”. Once my new furriend ran under the porch all of my furry family closed in on it from all corners. At that point mom was screaming and jumping on the porch. That made Braun and Ginger go inside immediately but Austin and I still wanted to play. But, for some reason the Chipmunk was no longer in the mood. It just layed there. I think it was playing possum.

Anywho…mom kept yelling, Alvin (i named the chipmunk that) was playing dead so Austin and I decided to go on in the house. Next thing you know mom is telling daddy that I have blood on my paws and she is yelling at Austin “bad girl” because she had blood on her too. I was so freakin lost at this point. Next thing you know – we are in the bath tub and banned from the human bed for the rest of the evening.

I truly don’t understand. Did we do something wrong?

By the way, to all of our friends that like to come over and hang out…be careful next time you come by because I heard mom telling daddy we had animal killers living amongst us. I am frightened. Hope they go away soon!

Birthday with Daddy

Me and Daddy celebrated our birthday together this weekend. Daddy's birthday is on the 26th and mine the 24th so Mommy made a plan for all of us to go to the park and play and run and meet new furriends. I didn't really like having to wear a leash on my birthday but I did anyway. Daddy got cake and I got a stuffed buffalo! I think I won out on the present end of things. I also got these new treats called Canadian Beggins. They are like Beggin Strips but made like Canadian Bacon. I shared some with my furramily and they loved them too.

I can't wait until another birthday rolls around because it seems like all of us get to celebrate as if it were our own personal day. Nothing better than family!

Smelly Clothes Rule!

I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE lying in the laundry closet while mommy takes a shower in the morning before work. I started doing it while daddy is showering too! I just love the smell of my parent’s dirty clothes. Mom’s not sure why but thinks it is super cute. Lately it has been a little chilly in the mornings so she has a heater in there and that is EVEN BETTER! Now mommy has to use promises of “going outside” or “treat” to get me out of the closet before she leaves for work. Otherwise, it is a struggle for her to get me out because I might look tiny but I can paste my body to the floor with the best of them! Mom added a pic of me in the clothes closet in my Dogster Plus photos.

p.s. for those of you who recall months back when mommy accidentally closed me in the bathroom before leaving for work and I ate my way out – she hasn’t done that again – he he he he he! Mom added those destruction photos to my Dogster Plus photos back when it happened and many ppl were amazed lil ol me could do such damage. It’s the little ones you gotta look out for!
