What is a doofus?

My Mom says I am a doofus. I don't know what that is, but she always says it when I trip over my big puppy feet. Hmmm, then she laughs so it must be good. I hear puppy lips a lot too. I wonder what that means...

My own personal dog park

When I jumped into Jake and Nick's yard yesterday there was a surprise there! A girl puppy was visiting them for the afternoon. She was fast and liked to play just like me and Nick. Jake gets mad at me sometimes because technically I am not supposed to be in his yard. Mom doesn't like it when I jump the fence either but Jake & Nick's Dad says it is o.k. We play and I eventually go home when I get tired. There is just too much fun to be had!

Back to basics!

Mom says I have to go back to school 'cause I have regressed. She doesn't have a lot of time to work with my 'cause she works and has Nick and has been dealing with lots of stuff. I can't help it if I like to jump over the fence into the front yard. I also think it is fun to jump into our neighbors yard to bark and yell at Jake & Nick. Jake & Nick are 2 huge Chow mix brothers who think they are cool. When I am done teasing them, I jump back so I don't know what Mom is worried about.

New pictures

Mom finally put up a couple new pictures of me so all my pals can see how big I am now! I am so big I can jump up on the trampoline with my boy Nick. He yells at me when I try to herd him around inside but I think he secretly loves that I follow him around everywhere he goes. I know Mom does 'cause she tells me I am a good protector!

No more grumpy!

Xena & Dad are gone now so I get Mom all to myself-well except for Sierra and the cats and Nick. I sleep on the bed now and herd the cats around all the time. Xena isn't here to yell at me all the time either. At least Sierra plays sometimes. The only part I don't like is being stuck downstairs while Mom is at work. She says she is going to start taking us on more walks. I am good on the leash but Sierra pulls and pulls. Mom is kind of tired from all the changes but I have lots of cute tricks to cheer her up with! Woof!

I am soooo smart!

Mommy & I started going to school! It is lots of fun. There are 3 other puppies in my class. Mom says I am the most handsome and the smartest. We learned sit, down, heel and come. I hope I can learn lots so I can be a therapy dog-whatever that is. Mom keeps talking about nursing homes and hospitals. It sounds fun whatever it is! Mom & Dad also started a dog rescue organization for German Shepherds and Aussies in the Western Washington area. So much stuff!

Well, my life has been terribly exciting lately! I got to go to the doggy Dr. and have my ears cleaned. I moaned and groaned and told the vet tech just how good it felt. I wasn't too thrilled with the needle though. Dad said I have a yeast infection in my ear. We put medicine in it every day and now it stands up like it is supposed to! Then we went to have our pictures taken this weekend. I like the places we visit, I just don't like riding in the car. I get sick. This time I threw up on Xena but she didn't get mad 'cause she was too tired from the trip. Whew!

Car Rides

I had to go for a car ride yesterday. I am not sure I like those yet. I threw up all over my blanket. We went to my grandparents house to visit and have Thanksgiving leftovers (my great-grandma gave me a little piece of meat!). I sniffed everything inside and out and got to play. I even took a nice long nap on the kitchen floor with all the good smells. My Mommy was happy because I didn't have any accidents and I didn't throw up on the way home!

Aaah puppydom!

Puppyhood has its privileges. I get to snuggle all the time. I get lots and lots of attention. I get to play, play, play, eat, eat, eat and my family tells me what a good boy I am all the time! Sometimes though I hear that "no" word. I figured out it means to stop whatever you are doing pretty quickly 'cause I don't like to disappoint my humans. They tell me I am sooooo smart and cute so I wag my tail and lick them. The only problem I have is fitting through the tall doggy door. Mom laughs when I "high center" whatever that is. All I know is I get stuck and have to fall over the other side. OH well, I guess that is the price of puppydom...

Being cute is tiring!

I got to go out yesterday for most of the afternoon. We went to a field where there were a bunch of kids running around kicking a ball. At the first field, there was another puppy that I played with a little bit. That was fun. Then I got tired though. We went to the second field and everyone said how cute I am but all I wanted to do was sleep. My new Mom picked me up and put me in her lap so I was warm and cuddly and I slept. I think I like my new family.
