So, it's crazy cold here in Chicago. The Mom and the Dad have been walking me. Once in the afternoon and once at night. Every single day since I came to live with them in August. Through heat and rain and fog and sleet and now through cold and snow.
But today there was no walk in the afternoon. The Mom kept putting my jacket on me. Then she'd let me out in the back yard. I wouldn't do anything. I don't do my business in the yard. The Mom knows that.
This went on all afternoon. Finally, the Mom let me out and I ran back to the alley gate. Then I ran back to the house. Then to the alley gate. Then to the house. Back and forth. Back and forth.
While I ran I looked at the drifts of snow on either side of the walk. Big drifts. Taller than me. Suddenly I jumped off of the walk. And into the snow in the middle of the yard! Then I ran. Around and around and around. In a big, big circle. Until I had a nice path. Then I stopped. And squat.
You know, the Mom totally over-reacted. When I came in she was yelling and cheering and telling me "good girl, Dixie" and "what a smart girl, Dixie". It was just some poop. It wasn't Gold!
