I'm a Star!-- K9 Freestyle

I just joined Gem City Dog Obedience Club. It's great so far. I get to socialize with lots of new dogs... and take classes. Right now, I'm taking one in K9 Freestyle-- you know-- dancing with your human! The instructor has actually been to competitions with her dogs, Sugar and Rally. And I have a friend named Pistachio! He's a miniature Schnauzer, and I think he likes me... it wasn't always that way... we were both a little shy to start. If you live in or near Dayton, Ohio, check out Gem City...

Wow--I get around!

Wow-- I get around! My mommy just added my mug shot to two other websites...Zoints and I-love-dogs/dog forums (I'm not sure what the URLs are, but if you type in dog forums you can get to both through the site-- they're free too--free is good!) I had a long walk today--off leash-- and came every time I was called, and even did a "leave it" on a few tasty squirrels. (Oh! Believe me-- I didn't want to leave those suckers!) Yesterday, at Circle Tail, the director, Marlys, even praised me for not barking at an unfamiliar dog-- that is my one weakness, unfamiliar dogs... gotta check 'em out you know! So mommy is very proud of me right now... oh, there are lots of ways I could wreck that: chewing my knuckle bone on her bed-- she hates to crawl into slobbery covers! and I could chase the neighborhood cat when she takes me out to potty (which she should have done 15 minutes ago, at 11:30-- I'm a creature of habit, you know! Come on, mommy! I gotta go!) Oh, yeah! Potty time is here... See ya, sucker!

this is "barkin'" crazy

My girl has gone wacko! Ever since she found dogster.com (at 11:00 PM. last night-- when she told her mother she was sleeping!== tsk, tsk!) she's been writing, editting, taking pictures!--(I almost snapped the camera right out from her uncontrollably shaking, manic hands-- who wants to be photographed with their mouth wide/tongue lolling? when they're trying to sleep?) Hey maybe I can get her to take me on another three hour walk-- then she might-- God, oh God, please Almighty God (I can't get too carried away and start speaking in tongues-- but I'm asking for a miracle anyway!) SLEEP TONIGHT! And turn off those bright flourescent (ouch) lights! Hey you! Ssshhh....we can't let her know our plan-- she likes her "energy" too much! Sigh, so much for a walk... so much for sleep...

Its not easy being green!

Just kidding-- she hasn't dyed me green --YET! What I meant to say was, "it's not easy being a service dog!...
My girl, Sarah, woke me up at three o'clock this morning! Get this-- she wanted to take a walk! (She's been hyper-manic the past three weeks... maybe sleeps five hours a week!) I can't complain though--she tries to let me sleep... I worry about her though... (after all she's MY JOB!) So I got up and we walked for three hours...
I'm still getting used to the "new" Sarah-- off all her medications... she used to sleep a lot, she was so drugged up... now--Whew!...
I'm a pretty low-energy dog, and she was even lower energy, but now she's ZIPPY-- and I don't want to run and play all the time!
But I am a people pleaser, and (although she allows me to be what she is now calling "LAZY") I will try my best to keep up.
Gotta go-- she's zipping around the apartment-- cleaning-- (for the third time this morning!) If only that vaccuum cleaner weren't so darn loud!... I could catch some zzzzzz 's!
