Good morning pals! I wanted to tell you about my visit yesterday to the First Baptist Church in Moore, Oklahoma. Mom and I, along with four other therapy dogs arrived around 9:30 in the morning. This church is a staging area for all the people who have lost everything in the devastating tornado that occurred Monday, May 20, 2013. People were able to receive clothing, food, medicine, toys, tools, etc. Also all of the insurance companies were there to help everyone and the organization was amazing. We all spread out and visited with people telling us their stories of survival and loss. Mom and I were called over by one of the chaplain's to visit with a lady in a wheel chair and she kept petting me while talking to mom. We went outside and visited with folks waiting to speak with insurance people and it was good to see that we could put smiles on people's faces. To see the looks on some of the people's faces just broke your heart, but then to see the determination of the people who were just so very thankful to be alive. Mom and I spent 6 hours there and boy was I pooped! I would have wrote in my diary last night but I was asleep on the sofa. Today we are having horrible storms with flooding so continued prayers are needed. We will be going back to Moore as long as we are needed.
Harley, you and your Momma are the VERY BESTEST! What a wunnerful thing you did to help those peepoles the best way you can.
My Hubro is headin there this weekend to help with Samaritan's Purse and "debris removal".
Still sending pawrayers to OK.
You are the greatest, Harley!
We cannot even imagine the destruction in Oklahoma but are thankful for pups and people that are helping those that need assistance. You have the bestest momma and we are proud of you and your work!

We as you know are near.. and we have done what we can.
The Therapy Dogs make SO MUCH difference.
Its important too that they can visit maybe with the people helping. Whilst they still have their homes and lives.. they are taking on huge amounts of grief and stress. A little love there too is needed.
Oklahoma will ride this... it has so many times before.
and Zoey.. please tell your bro... THANKYOU too. My bro was a fireman in London England for 27 years...He flew out to quake and disaster zones as many do and we know the importance and just the caring that all the help brings.
I forgot to say if you click on this link, it is an article from the Tulsa World and then click on the picture and the second picture is me!
