The gal that bought her could no longer take care of her due to a rare brain illness (she has since passed). Kahlua ended up here as a foster but ended up becoming a permanent dog. Bio: Kahlua came to our home as a young pup. At the time we were still learning about the breed and were not familiar with dog-aggression. Onyx and Kahlua grew up together but once Kahlua matured the tolerance for the other females in the house became non-existent. There were warning signs but we obviously missed them. Fights began to break out and our new routine began to take place. Kahlua is now separated from the other females at all times, although she loves to play with the male foster dogs that come through the house. True to her breed, she loves the human kids in her home but other dogs are just not that enjoyable. Before you get a dog be sure to do your research, especially a pit bull. We wouldn't trade our dogs for any other ones but wish we would've armed ourselves with the knowledge beforehand to avoid all the headaches and mini-heart attacks we've had.
