This afternoon us doggies were out in the back yard. I was supervising mommy while she was moving a pile of wood from behind the storage barn to beside the storage barn. She blocked the side that the neighbor dog's and us dog's run and bark at each other. Anyway mommy picked up some wood and there coming toward here was a long garter/garden snake! I saw it and lunged at it but mommy grabbed me by my collar and picked me right up! Walker was laying on the deck, Ms Alex was eating grass and Pookah was running around in his own little world. Mommy yelled Biscuit's, who want's a biscuit? That always gets the others headed to the door. I always take another round of the yard but this time I was in mommy's arm's. She got us in and gave us biscuit's and then called the son-in-law to come over and get the snake. When he got here him and mommy moved more pieces of wood till they found the snake. Then they saw a baby snake. So son-in-law took both mommy and baby snake, told them they weren't in trouble and mommy told them they were relocating, BOL! So they will live in a garden and help it grow.

Oh wow! What a brave doggie! We don't have any snakes in Ireland. St Patrick banished 'em or something, which I think is a disgrace - we doggies are missing out! We only have sheeps and cows and piggies and stuff. So where did the snakes relocate? Did they go to live in the son-in-law's garden? Lucky snakies!

Thank you Cleo! I've never seen a sheep, cow or piggie. Just small critters like squirrel's, bunny's, ground hog's,mole's stuff like that BOL! The snakes went to live in the son-in-law's garden. Him and the two grandson's like snakes.

Glad it all went well. I dont like the Copperheads we get.. they have nasty nasy bites for animals and humans.. but the others are ok.. they keep the bad stuff away.

HUGSSSSS for you.. take care.

Thank you Flicka! It was a very long garter. The baby was little and they both wiggled a lot. The grandson's saw them right when their dad put them in his garden.

Hm...I've never seen a snake. Grammy told me that there was a big black snake in her basement once when Momma was little. Momma doesn't know how she got rid of it, and she's kinda afraid to ask!

Oh My Fizzy! That would be very scarey! Mommy has seen garter snakes in our yard and her's when she was little, she grew up with the Little Elkhart river at her back yard. Maybe the mommy and baby was under the wood because of the weather?
