Arrival Story:
Rusty is my foster dog. He was placed with me after a rescue organization, Lucky mutts got him out of the local shelter where he was about to be euthanized. It's been my absoluite pleasure to have Rusty. He's been challenging at times but no more than any puppy that needs some simple redirection and is starved for love. Despite of what all he's been through he is so loving and sweet. Desperate for human contact. He and my own boston have an understanding and like eachother, but they don't really play the same or have the same interests. he probably needs some continued training especially with walking on a leash. He is really wonderful and it breaks my hear to think where he's been or what his outcome could've been

Bio:
Rusty wasn't treated very well by his past owners, probably abused and neglected some. They decided to dump him at town lake animal shelter when he was no longer wanted. He looks just like a golden but is unusually small for the breed at only about 40 lbs. he was definitely underfed and malnourished, but we're working on getting his weight up. He's now neutered and really pretty healthy. I will happily keep rusty and love him lots until he is permanently adopted out through lucky mutts. check out their webpage if interested. www.luckymutts.com ***UPDATE!!!! -- Rusty will be going to his forever home this week! A wonderful family has gone through the application process and the adoption is being finalized. The past month and a half with rusty has been one of the best experiences in my life. to see him go from being so shy, and skinny, and scared, to a rumbunctious, fun, quirky, social, and fuller fellow is just priceless. Im so happy for him and so sad for me. I will miss him so very much!
