Arrival Story: We (a friend and I) were going to visit some greyhounds at the adoption center at the track in Birmingham. On the way up, we stopped at the Chilton County Humane Society to see a Harlequin Dane that had been left in the over night drop off. She wasn't avaliable yet, so we just visited with her. On the way back from the track, we decided to stop and see if we could see her through the fence. We pulled into the drive way and she was running loose with a Beagle! She was in heat, so he was staying really close. We had to chase them through the woods to catch them so they wouldn't get hit. We caught them and managed to get in touch with the sheriff's office who got us in touch with the shelter director. The director asked me if I would "foster" her since they had gotten so full. (They had put her in the fenced yard, so she would have room to move around, but she escaped) After her stray holding period was up, I adopted her! Bio: Past times are being lazy and enjoying life.
