Well i am 6 now. hard to believe.. unfortunately i have more grey on my muzzle. but i love to run still. Its been a long cold winter. I hated it cause we werent going or walks or anything. and we havent been able to do much since its been too cold out. but its finally warming back up so moms finally able to take us for walks. i hope she takes us to the forest preserve soon, i would love to smell all those smells again. maybe see the deer again. although i really wish she wouldnt have me on the leash so i could run around some more sniffing all that i want to. we didnt do anything for my birthday this year, mom has been having some money issues. but shes keeping us fed even if she doesnt always eat herself. but hopefully with it being warmer we can start walking more, although that probably means i have to listen to those nutty beagles again next door. but moms been talking about moving again in the fall. so hopefully that will be a good move. although i do like living here.

august 2009 update

so its been quite a year! we were living in okc and then in may mom decided to move back to chicago. we were living in okay place but i loved having the park next door. the birds and bunnies would hang out on our patio. many a time me and my brother ebony would just hang out and watch them. mom didnt like how i was always barking at the dogs in the neighborhood. but i had to stake my territory yanno? let them know we were here and protecting our space! well we have since moved into another neighborhood. mom doesnt take me and jane out as much but we get to go for more walks and with so many dogs in the neighborhood theres smells a plenty on the walk! the people here are so friendly and loving. i love how the lil ole lady downstairs SHOULD be afraid of me but she just loves on me. i have to say i hate the beagles next door because when they are outside they bark and bark and bark about NOTHING. well, the petsmart near here had their open house yesterday so mom took me and jane over to check it out. she did leave us to play with the petsitters while she went and went on the tour of the pethotel though. but dont tell her i was having so much fun i didnt notice when she was back where i could see her! after a while though, it was just too many people and too many dogs there. then mom took us over to petco and there a lady just went nutso over me saying that she wanted me! so glad mom loves me enough that she wouldnt consider giving me up. mom was sick last night so she ended up not walking us but she did wake up in the middle of the night to let me and jane go to the bathroom. and again later this am. now ebony and i are just hanging out on the bed just chilling with her. i hope she feels well enough to take me and jane for a nice walk this morning! she keeps talking about taking us to chicago to go to a dog beach but shes waiting for it to warm up a bit, something about how its colder down there. i hope she doesnt expect me to go into the water cause i hate water!

update to our life

wow has it really been that long since we have been online? well for my birthday mom took us to the dog store and brought us cake cookies for my birthday. then we went to petsmart and brought some new toys for us. then we came home and took a walk. love you mom! then for my sister janes birthday she did the same thing except when we would have gone for a walk it started pouring down rain. but thats okay mom cuddled with us. lots have happened. mom has been pretty depressed so we moved to illinois. i like it cause we live on a park now and so i can watch or rather listen to the kids play. and sometimes mom walks us to the back of the park and back off leash. i havent decided yet how much i like living here yet. we did go to a dog park on moms birthday. now that we moved so far away we have to explore and find new places to go hang out and have fun. mom doesnt seem to be as depressed but i dont know. she hasnt really talked about it much with me so i am not sure. but the drive here was weird. she tried getting me in the truck with her and there was no way in the world i was going to jump up that high so finally mom just put me in the car on the trailer. which is fine since i got to lay on all the bedding. but we are here.. so a new adventure.

5th birthday

Oh i am so happy mom remembered my birthday. she had to work both jobs today but shes talking about taking me and my sister jane to go do something dog fun tmw in the am. Shes getting ready to snuggle and cuddle with us which is naturally my fave time with mom! hopefully weather will be nice enough that we can actually go for a walk! time sure has flown! i am sure moms happy i am not such a teen anymore LOL.. i am starting to get some grey on the muzzle but thats okay moms starting to get some greys as well. cant wait to see what mom has planned for us!
