You know all about us from our individual pages. So we'll just skip all the bio-info and let you know why we have a "together" page for our family! Well, we wanted a place where we could post photos of both of us plus our family. As well as one page where we can send Rosettes & Gifts to our friends (plus a place where our friends can send us just one Rosette or Gift on behalf of the shop). So we made the "Sweetiepies' Tea Shop" because there's nothing in the world more fun than a tea party! (NOTE FROM NICO ... "Okay, okay! So it's really just another page for Holly 'cause tea parties are really just a chick-thing. Well, shhhhhhh! Don't tell anyone, but I enjoy them, too! Plus I am a fine chef of Italian pizza and other Italian cuisine!"
Specializing in fine teas & pastries!

We have been making these MALTed Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies for PEOPLE (ONLY!!) in memory of our beloved brother & original Sweetiepie, Morgan. Like Nico, Morgan was a MALTese!!
People can eat chocolate (but NOT dogs or cats!) so they go crazy for these cookies. Enjoy, all you people!
Holly & Nico
MALTed Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies
1 cup (2 Sticks) Unsalted Butter Softened
3/4 cups Golden Brown Sugar
3/4 cups Sugar
2 whole Eggs
2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
2 cups All-purpose Flour
1-1/4 teaspoon Baking Soda
1-1/4 teaspoon Salt
1/2 cups (rounded) Malted Milk Powder
1 bag (12 Ounce) Milk Chocolate Chips
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Cream butter, then add both sugars and cream until fluffy. Add eggs and beat slightly, then add vanilla and beat until combined. Add malted milk powder and beat until combined.
Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt. Add to butter mixture, beating gently until just combined.
Add chocolate chips and stir in gently.
Drop by teaspoonfuls (or use a cookie scoop) and bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Bake less if you want chewy cookies; more if you want crispy cookies.

We are excited!!! We have a new cousin!!! Our aunt Nancy adopted "Petunia", a Boston Terrier!!! Since she lives in Florida where there are BEACHES and we live in the desert where there are lots of SANDSTORMS, we decided to make sandtarts!! Aunt Nancy & our Daddy are both diabetics so the Sweetiepies are trying to be more sensitive in our baking....so EVERYONE can enjoy the tea shop!!!! Plus....how shall we say this sensitively.....hmmmm....well, Petunia needs to lose a few lbs.!! So here are our sand tart cookies! Perfect for both beach, desert, or garden parties!
The Sweetiepies' Sand Tart Cookies
1 cup butter
1 cup sugar substitute for diabetics
3/4 cup brown sugar substitute for diabetics
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 1/4 cups flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
Prep time: 20 minutes,
Cook time: about 10 minutes
Preheat oven to 375°F and line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Cream together butter and sugar substitutes; beat in eggs and vanilla. Mix in flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt, mixing just until combined. Drop tablespoon-size balls of dough onto prepared baking sheets. Bake for about 10 minutes or until light golden brown.
Makes about 45 cookies.

We have had a slight change in the staff of the tea shop. Our big brother, Kodie, stepped in when our beloved brother and original "sweetiepie", Morgan, went to Heaven. Kodie always felt uncomfortable in a "tea shop." But he was willing to help us out during a difficult time and he became quite good at baking scones!! However, he feels that this spring is a good time to move on to his own interests and let us handle the tea shop on our own. So......the Sweetiepies' Tea Shop is now being managed by Holly & Nico! Keep watching and we will be having new recipes!!!
We also had exciting news this week---we were one of the diary picks!!! We were so thrilled!!! YIPEE!!!!!
