Leave a bone for T. J.

Arrival Story:
T. J. was born as one of a litter of 3 pups. For some reason, the owners of the birth mother kept the other two pups but did not want T. J. One of the family members worked at the local animal hospital that handled our pets' veterinary care. So T. J. spent his early pup time in the local animal hospital looking for a home for him. Also working at the animal hospital was a girl that was friends with my niece. She told the family about T. J. so my sister and brother in law agreed to take T. J. home. They really did not want another dog because six months earlier their 13 year old Basset Hound had to be put down. Interestingly enough, T. J. was born the same day the Basset Hound left us. T. J. stayed with my sister and the family for about 3 years. T. J. showed behavior of not liking little children and when my great nephew was born and there was now a baby in the house, it was decided that I would take the dog to care for, since I live alone and don't have children. T. J. is a wonderful dog, he is loveable, follows me all over the house, loves to come by me to be petted. I just don't put him in any situations where there are little children present. He is fine with other adults and even adolescent age children.
Bio:
T. J. is well behaved in the house. He never chewed anyone's belongings. We got him full house trained. He is good when I leave him alone in the house to go to work. I don't put him in a crate, I am so dead set against putting dogs in crates as part of their living habitat. He was never into dog toys and squeak toys and such. He loves all kinds of rawhide bones, pork sticks and dog biscuits.

Today is my birthday. I am 11 years old. My mommy took me to be groomed for my birthday, so this picture is 'hot off the presses'!!
