Arrival Story:
originally adopted as a puppy from the ASPCA her student owner realized that she didn't have time for a dog and advertised a year old Viszla/Lab cross. My samoyed/lab cross had passed away a few months earlier at 17 years old and a short haired dog & housebroken sounded appealing. I went to meet her and it was love at first sight

Bio:
daphne was diagnosed with cancer July 2004 and given 1-3 months to live. I guess she fooled them!

Daphne's Progress


Daphne's last day

Daphne was euthanized on November 30, 2007 after acupuncture, supplements, chiropractics and traditional medicine could not slow her decline. She lost all strength isn her rear legs and was suffering. Now she is at rest.

Daphne has passed the 2 year anniversary since her diagnosis (1-3 months to live) and continues to thrive- happy, fat & spoiled

11/05 Daphne has gone from her normal weight of 49 lbs (45 lbs post-surgery) to a whopping 63 pounds- If we thought she was going to live we wouldn't have given her all those treats! All the love & prayers seems to have "cured" her. She is thriving- fat & spoiled
