It's my party and I'll eat if I want to!

Last Saturday was my one-year anniversary of coming home to live with my family. It was also Daddy's best friend's 26th birthday, so we had a big fun day together. We went to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings and got to sit on the big patio by their fountain - too cool! They even gave me my own basket of naked tenders and a celery stick. I was so excited to get to go out to eat with mom and dad and Cleve and Kim.

Mom baked Cleve and I a banana cake because we're "birthday buddies" - I came home on October 1st and his birthday is October 2nd. He helped me blow out the candles on my cake. I wished for FOOD. ;)

I got a really cool birthday present - a Talk To Me Laser Treat Ball. Now when I get lonely during the day I can kick into my ball and it spills out treats for me and blinks and plays Mom and Dad's voices saying "We love you Lola Boo!". Too neat!

All in all, being one isn't so bad. ;)

Thank Goodness, It's Summer!

Wow, I love summer! I'm so happy about all the pretty flowers for me to sniff, pools for me to jump in, and warm weather that makes Mom and Dad want to walk me a lot.

We went to see Grandma and Grandpa for Memorial Day and I got to play with my cousin, Cap'n Jack. The best part about their house is the HUGE backyard - and it's got a big garden and a huge fence, so I can play outside and swim and look at koi pond fish and even play with teeny baby kittens til I'm so tired that I pass out on Grandpa's feet! Everyone there loves me very much and they always say I'm very well-behaved compared to Jack. He even ran out of the front door while we were there, and my Daddy had to go catch him! His fur isn't as soft as mine, and he barks a lot. I don't like barkers. I like quiet, nappy places with food.

Speaking of food! Grandpa cooked a HUGE barbecue dinner, and I got to eat a whole plate of beef and some of Dad's hamburger and some chicken and A WHOLE HOT DOG! I love holidays with FOOD! I can't wait til July 4th to do it again! The only downside is the fireworks - they're fun to look at, but they're loud and I hate the explosion noises. I whimper whenever I hear one - fireworks are the pits. Too bad Dad loves to shoot them off and Mommy loves to watch! I guess I'll just have to cower under a blanket and cover my big chihuahua ears as best as I can!

Bubble Bath!

Yesterday, mom gave me a bubble bath - well, we kind of shared it - with her favorite stuff from Lush. It was fun! I really like the bathtub, and I especially love to play with bubbles (and eat them! I wouldn't do it if mom didn't buy such good-smelling junk!). I got a good scrubdown and then mom and I hung out in our bathrobes wrapped up in blankets watching the Simpsons - it was so much fun! Even today, I still smell like honey and fruity bubbles :)

Snaggletooth

My two big teeth came out last night and this morning. They'd been wiggly for a day or two and when I was playing with a Greenie and biting Daddy's hand, they just popped out! Mom kept both of them so that someday she can look back and say, "those were fun times, Lola Boo!".

The tooth fairy brought me a new t-shirt with a sequined heart on it for Valentine's Day. I'm glad, it's awful cold and my new shirt is helping keep me warm!

I've Been Super Busy!

Wow, this life of being a wonderdog is hard! Mom and dad both had birthdays this month. Mom ordered me a doggie cupcake so I could share in the fun, but I really wanted some of their giant cookie.

Mom started back to school, so now I have to find ways to kill time for six hours a day again. So far, sleeping is my new favorite pastime, especially since we got a new featherbed for Christmas.

Something weird happened - all my whiskers are white, except for one that turned brown. It's so funny-looking! It makes me self-conscious. I feel like one of those grandmas with a mustache that doesn't even know it.

I have a cousin!!

Mommy's sister got a little boy chihuahua and now I have a cousin!! :) His name is Captain Jack. He will be on Dogster soon so you all can meet him!

I met Santa!!!

I love Santa! I licked his face and pulled on his beard :) Mom told him I'd been a very good dog, so hopefully he'll bring me presents! Mom added our picture on my page, so check it out - me and the big red guy!

Woof! Christmas is in TWO WEEKS! I can't wait! What will I do with myself for two whole weeks?!!

Can I have some Easy Cheese with my whines?

My mom says this week is finals, which means she has to take tests and not sleep and I can't be in the office with her all the time. How fair is that? I want to nibble her toes, but nooooo, she has to learn about torts. I can't wait til all this is over.

Yesterday we took a walk down our street and some weird man thought his big, scary dog didn't need a leash! He came running towards us and Mom had to scoop me up and we ran as fast as we could to get home! This dog was as big as ten of me and he was barking so loud, I was terrified! His owner didn't even seem to care :(
I didn't stop shivering and whimpering til we were safe in our apartment and Mom locked the door. She seemed pretty shook up about the whole thing, too. If my four pounds of chihuahua fury has to be on a leash, why not 90 pounds of scary barking fury? Humans are goofy sometimes!

Woof! I can't believe it!

I'd like to thank the Academy, er... Dogster! I can't believe I'm dog of the week! That's too cool! Mom bought me some Greenies bits and a tennis ball snowman today just because of my special honor :) I hope everyone can't resist my cute little face and wants to be my pup pal!! :)

I had to get shots today and I HATE SHOTS. Princesses like me DO NOT get shots. Mom says I have to hurt a little bit now so I don't hurt a lot of bit later, but I think that's just stupid. I hate needles! I did get a carob chip cookie out of it, though - a doggie bakery just opened here and they had free samples! I saw their catalog and they have doggy cupcakes...I SO NEED THOSE! Mmmmm, frosting.

Today at the vet I weighed 4.4 pounds...still a gorilla! :) See you guys later!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I like Thanksgiving! I took a long car ride to Huntsville, where Mom's family lives. I won over TWO of mommy's aunts who usually hate dogs, because who could possibly hate something as cute as ME? I also met my mom's mom and grandmom, and they both loved their granddoggie (ME!) very much, and even fed table food. I don't like cranberry sauce. I like stuffing. Potato salad is funny - you heard it here first.

One of mommy's aunts didn't want a dog in her fancy-pants house. How mean is that? A house isn't a home without a dog in it! She ended up liking me, though, because I have the magic powers to make people love me. I'm just that cool. :)

Mom's sister, my aunt Sara, came home with us for the weekend. She is 15, but she loves Starbucks as much as Mommy does. I like it too, because I get little sips of Frappuccino sometimes. We are going to go walk at my favorite park and paint pottery at the Pottery Loft (something tells me I might get a new food bowl out of this!). I'm so excited!

Oh, I forgot, the best part of Thanksgiving is my TURKEY SQUEAKY TOY! I love it. I'm thankful for it. I'm also thankful for having a good home and a full belly. I know every dog isn't as lucky as me and that's sad :(

We are taking kitty litter and food to the Humane Society where my sister, Miffy cat, came from later on today, and giving them some blankets so dogs can stay warm in the cold. I hope everyone remembers those of us with paws this holiday and will do something to help the furry homeless if they can.
