Learning to live with a puppy again

Seeing a ghost before first cup of morning coffee.

I had just set down at the computer, turned it on and was lifting my cup for the first sip of morning coffee.
Next thing that happened was Bubba standing next to me with a worried look and bumping my arm with his head to get my attention. I started to fuss at him for almost spilling my coffee, when I looked over to the right and burst out laughing.

Trav's large pen is next to the wall with a dark green sheet on top of it for his privacy when he eats and sleeps.

A little ways in front of the pen is a large dog bed strewn with toys. Bubba had been lying quietly on it with his stuffie toy. AJ was under the computer table.. and Trav? I thought he was lying on the floor on my left.

When Bubba nervously hit my arm to tell me something was wrong, I looked over towards the dog bed and saw what appeared to be a ghost swathed in a dark green sheet.. LOL

Travis was standing on the dog bed completely enclosed in the sheet and was swaying back and forth. If he had been moaning, it wouldn't have been more perfect!

I started laughing and grabbed Bubba's collar because he was freaking out at that strange apparition and I was afraid he would attack the "ghost", and AJ was trying to stand up under my table to get out of the way of everyone. I couldn't grab my camera because there just wasn't enough time as I held Bubba with one hand and stood up to get away from my chair as AJ was doing his own ghostly effect with trying to raise the table with his back..

In the meantime, the ghost fell over and was rolling on the dog bed which made the sheet wrap even tighter around him.

I finally was able to hold Bubba at bay while I made my way to the ghost and grabbed the sheet and held it as Trav the Ghost-wanna-be rolled away from it, and off the dog bed and stood up with a look of "What? Wha'd I do?? I didn't do nothing.." Then he took off running to middle of living room and stopped with legs apart.
I yelled, "Trav! NO PEE!"
He ran to the opened front door and down the stairs and out into the yard where he is, still, and probably digging holes around my roses.

AJ and Bubba are both next to my chair now trying to catch a few zzzzzz's while you-know-who is outside..

ohoh, too late.. Trav just stampeded up the stairs, back into the house, around the couch, scattering rugs and flashed back out the front door. I didn't get a chance to see what he had in his mouth, and frankly, at this point, I don't care.. I just want to finish my first cup of morning coffee.

*Later..

We haven't walked in 3 days and Travis was still wired for sound. I was forced into walking him this morning..lol..Then after our walk, I thought he had calmed down.. but noooo.. he was just now flying around the house, scattering rugs and sliding/banging into furniture and leaping on top of poor AJ, with me running around behind trying to catch him. I finally did, made him sit and settle.. he was just like he had gotten into the sugar bowl.. (must have been the blackberries he ate on the Hiking Trail..lol.. ) Anyway, he's now in his pen having a time out.. I think he was glad that I put the brakes on him because he's now resting quietly...

Oh do I know what it is like to have a Giant Puppy running around. I love the playfulness and that look they give just before they go nuts!!

I could not live without my Giant or my Mini
