Hey everyone,
Happy turkey day..well..for us canadians. It was so nice having my mom and dad around all day today. So lets see whats been new...my mom and dad went to the local animal shelter cause they thought they might want to add a new addition to the family. They came back without a new friend. M mom said that there weren't any dogs that would be a good fit for me. They were either super hyper jack russells or big dogs that my mom would be dragged down the street by. we live in a townhouse so space can be an issue. After a lot of thought they have decided to just stick with me. I dont mind. I like being the spoiled only dog. :)
I jerseyed myself the other day. we went walking down the street and I didnt want to go any further. My mom pulled and I pulled and then bam! I stood up on my back paws, threw my harness to the ground and ran all the way home. My mom followed me back and let me go back in. I tried showing her that I didnt feel like walking, she just didnt get it.
I went to a cottage for the first time awhile ago. I have never smelled so many smells! I stayed on extra good behaviour. So much so that I was allowed to be off my leash and hangout in the yard and on the deck. I barely slept that weekend. When I came home I slept for 14 hours straight.
My boyfriend Cooper moved away. And my other boyfriend Tank is moving too. This leaves me strapped for friends. Theres a bassett hound my mom is organzing to come by so maybe they will like me. My mom says that Im a bit overwhelming and I should settle down for first impressions. Im excited so why not show it? I like it when others are excited to see me!
I went to the dog park for the first time too. I ran for about ten minutes but I just got too tried chasing some Whippets and gave up. I lied under a picnic table and drank 5 bottles of water. My mom got concerned about me so we went home.
I have also become somewhat of a project. I wear this exercise monitor sometimes. It tells my mom how many steps ive taken and it flashes green when I have had adequate exercise. Its good cause she always makes sure that its green by bedtime. She wears one too so we exercise together. Its fun.
