One month today, at least, one month 52 minutes ago. I see that Mom is really missing me today too, and thinking about me alot, and picturing me walking about the yard doing my patrol like I used to. She saw me standing under the very tree branch on my last day at home, beside the shed, in my place in the mulch by the front deck. She saw it all, like a flashback of that day. Saw me having my hamburger dinner and frosty paws. Saw me looking so happy to be at Doc Ricks. She thought about the "Am I Invited?" look I got on my face, standing on the deck waiting to see if the car ride invitation was coming, and she pictured me standing there when it was not my turn to go. I could see she was lonely for me tonight when the labbies went off to bed, leaving the living room empty of dogs. I was always there, laying near her. She was thinking about how every time she turned to look at me from the computer, i would be watching her. Thinking about the day she put a stray pup into the car with the groceries, all those years ago. She wishes more folks would adopt dogs and give homeless dogs a second chance. Bridgey posted the link to the shelter where Mom volunteers in MD.
That would make me and Mom happy, if more dogs were adopted.
I got a second chance and lived a long happy and remarkable life. All because Mom had a big heart and brought me home. That is why I love her so much. We are blessed to have so many friends that are helping Mom through this. Lots of our dogster furriends are adopted too. It one of the most wonderful things a human can do for a doggy. That, and realize when you beloved pet is suffering and allow them to fly away to the bridge and be free of pain. I think Mom feels better now after she has written this, it always helps her.
Much love to all our furriends, Billiebob
