Mom tells me that this evening, I am going to go on a special trip to a place called the Rainbow Bridge, where I will be re-united with my old fursib Bunkie. I has always liked to travel and look forward to seeing Bunkie again. But I is not arriving there with any bone, cause he always did give me a hard time if I had a bone, because he thought all the bones were his. Mom had to quit giving us bones it sure brought out the worst in Bunkie otherwise he was a very loving dog to me. I wonder how long it will take to get there? I have heard this place spoken of before. Maybe there will be lots of varmints to chase too.

I slept really well until 4:30 AM when the pain med was wearing off and I became restless and began to move around a lot. Mom can see if not for the medicine I would be in a lot of trouble. And even now, with more meds on board, I was laying down, looked at my side, began to pant and got up and moved, and is better now. these signs confirm for Mom that I will not be OK and that my trip to the Rainbow Bridge is in order. Doc said the same thing, that there should have been a much better response to the steroids injection and to keep me on so many drugs would be unreasonable. We are really going to enjoy this day. Mom mentioned frosty paws, and something about cooking some hamburger for me, maybe taking some pics, and perhaps an amble about the yard. Mom also wants to visit our groups and tell some Billiebob stories along the way. There are lots of them.

At 8 PM EST tonight is when I will be making my trip to the bridge but for some reason it has to start at Doc Ricks office. Mom said he is going to help me go there, maybe he has a map? If he does, I will save for anyother fur that might need it. Mom says I will get wings too, and be able to visit with my wings. And she says I will never be truly gone and will be with her forever.

For those that dont know, Mom found me when I was 6 months old, wandering about the parking lot of a grocery store, starving and filthy. She loaded me up in the car with the groceries and I been here ever since. I have had lots of adventures out birdwatching with Mom over the years and she says I was a perfect birdwatching companion. I was also the official greeter at the Turkey Point Hawk Watch, where Mom counted migrant birds of prey flying over. I wagged my tail at all the hikers that came through, from my station at the hawk watch sign, and many of them stopped to pet me and then they would ask about the birds and what we were doing. Probably Mom should get in touch with all her bird watching pals to let them know that I am going to this place called the bridge. I know we have a picture somewhere of me on greeting duties at the hawk watch. Maybe Mom can find some of those today and post them.

We love you all so much and will never forget how you have been here for us, and can only hope that we can paw forward the love when another fur is in need. Don`t be sad for me, I has had the best life possible filled with love and adventures.
Much love BB
