Birthday: November 15th 1995 Likes: Cheyanne Loved for anyone to throw sticks or balls down by the river! Pet-Peeves: Cheyanne Didn't like when Dozer would hog ALL the toys... Favorite Toy: Anything she could chew or search for the annoying squeeker thingy... Favorite Food: She LOVED her cookies... Favorite Walk: She loved to walk down to the river and swim! Best Tricks: Hiding her toys..so Dozer couldn't hog them....she was so good at it, she would sometimes forget where she hid them ...BOL Arrival Story: Cheyanne came into our life in February 1996 at the age of 12 weeks and left us in October 5th, 2006. Not having children, Cheyanne was our whole life. As strange as it may sound, we planned Vacations around family members that could stay with her so she didn't have to leave her home (a 9 hour plane ride times x 2 is way to much). We took her everywhere else with us. Her favorite place was our weekend summer home on the River...She loved to swim and walk in the water to cool off. Cheyanne even rode the Waverunner with Dad from time to time...She was an all around fun loving doggie. Back then, White German Shepherds were pretty uncommon, therefore...quite expensive. Our family just loved Cheyanne and kept asking us to breed her so they could have a puppy and for all the dogsitting, that was the least we could do. So when Cheyanne gave birth to 6 puppies, we kept one (Dozer) and chose homes for the rest of them. We did not sell them but gave them all to families we knew would Love them like we did Cheyanne. Dozer and Cheyanne used to go to the River every weekend and play and swim until one weekend upon returning Cheyanne looked bloted to Mom. We took her to see Dr. Joe and after doing blood work and an untra sound, we found her liver was not working any longer and she was building up fluid in her body. So for the next couple of weeks we were taking her to See Dr. Joe quite often making sure she was not in pain. The one thing Dr. Joe said that I remember so clearly was..."She will tell you when she is ready to go". She will have no other focus (ie: toys, food,) other than taking her next breath. So in the next few days, we took her back out to the river for a few hours to say good bye and it was that evening she told us it was time. So on October 5th 2006 Cheyanne went to the Rainbow Bridge and joined her sister Kitty Butt...I will never forget that day, I think I now understand the pain of losing a child. She was our only kid... Cheyanne is young and healthy again and will watch over us until we meet again....Mom & Dad will always love you, Our Sweet Cheyanne Forums Motto: I Will Always Watch Over You.... Yet again, this sad day arrives and brings back those memories of your last days with us.
I can't forget hose words Dr. Joe told us " Cheyanne will tell you when it's time". I have shared them with so many since. He was so right too... You did tell us. When you chose not to have any interest in anything except your next breath.. The look you gave us that morning full of love and expression told it all.
We let you go sweetheart, let you be pain free and young again..Our pain was worth your freedom..God it hurt..... but we know we did the right thing for you.
I know you have had your famiy join you Chey and they came fast..way to fast... So now you have all your babies with you again. Dozer missed you so much and I can only imagine the tug of wars and toy chasing you two are doing. Would give anything to see it again...
Dad and I were talking just yesterday about how much Sasha is like you and Kai is like Dozer... I told him I know you were whispering in Sasha's ear for a long time when you sent her to us... The same with Dozer and Kai..
We miss you and Dozer every day pup.. Take care of him as you did when you were both here...We love you both very much
