Arrival Story:
Cheyanne came into our life in February 1996 at the age of 12 weeks and left us in October 5th, 2006. Not having children, Cheyanne was our whole life. As strange as it may sound, we planned Vacations around family members that could stay with her so she didn't have to leave her home (a 9 hour plane ride times x 2 is way to much). We took her everywhere else with us. Her favorite place was our weekend summer home on the River...She loved to swim and walk in the water to cool off. Cheyanne even rode the Waverunner with Dad from time to time...She was an all around fun loving doggie. Back then, White German Shepherds were pretty uncommon, therefore...quite expensive. Our family just loved Cheyanne and kept asking us to breed her so they could have a puppy and for all the dogsitting, that was the least we could do. So when Cheyanne gave birth to 6 puppies, we kept one (Dozer) and chose homes for the rest of them. We did not sell them but gave them all to families we knew would Love them like we did Cheyanne. Dozer and Cheyanne used to go to the River every weekend and play and swim until one weekend upon returning Cheyanne looked bloted to Mom. We took her to see Dr. Joe and after doing blood work and an untra sound, we found her liver was not working any longer and she was building up fluid in her body. So for the next couple of weeks we were taking her to See Dr. Joe quite often making sure she was not in pain. The one thing Dr. Joe said that I remember so clearly was..."She will tell you when she is ready to go". She will have no other focus (ie: toys, food,) other than taking her next breath. So in the next few days, we took her back out to the river for a few hours to say good bye and it was that evening she told us it was time. So on October 5th 2006 Cheyanne went to the Rainbow Bridge and joined her sister Kitty Butt...I will never forget that day, I think I now understand the pain of losing a child. She was our only kid... Cheyanne is young and healthy again and will watch over us until we meet again....Mom & Dad will always love you, Our Sweet Cheyanne

Hello My Sweet Cheyanne...

Sweet Cheyanne...

Today would have been your 14th woofday...Time sure flys.... with the exception of the day we had to say goodby and send you on your jorney to TRB.....It seems like yesterday...

I remember when you would come to the store with me and all our customers would just make such a fuss over you. You were the happiest pup ever...Then after you were gone...Those same customers still asked where you were and how you were doing...You sure are a missed pup Chey...

As you have probably seen, I had to close the store because of the economy...The last thing I removed was your blanket and toys from my office... I left it there to comfort Dozer when he was there.....That brought back so many emotions because you experienced the excitement when we opened the store and became our little "Walmart greeter" as several customers called you.

Thank you for watching over me and getting me through the closing...It was difficult but necessary.

I keep you alive in my heart Cheyanne, by helping other angels and their pawrents in your honor. Besides..... you always were a better speller than me.. =O)

Be happyMy Sweet Angel...You have great furends at TRB...

I will always love you and miss you more
Mommy

Hi Sweetheart...

When I woke up this morning the first thing I thought of was you!

I remember my heart breaking that day like it was yesterday. I never told you this but I had not seen Daddy cry since his Dad went to heaven...Until the day we had to help you make your journey to the Rainbow Bridge.

You were out first pup together and we will always have that special bond...We miss you so very much Cheyanne.

You taught Dozer so many things that remind us of you but he is and will always be his own pup...

I remember you going to work with dad everyday...You would grab your leash and wait by the door...Then you would go and flirt with all the workers...They loved it when you visited them...You were the jobsite mascot as someone said...

I know you are doing such good things up at the bridge.....helping all the new pups and their pawrents......just like I knew you would.

I miss you pup...I miss your sweet personality, your funny antics and your unconditional love...

I miss when you would jump on the bed and try to nibble on my foot because it was moving under the blankets...

I miss when you would get so so excited on Fridays knowing we were going out to the river..

I miss finding your slimy rawhide chews under my pillow

I miss coming home to your wiggling body...Happy just to see us...

I Miss you chasing Dozer for miles through the house because he had one of your toys

The list goes on...But most of all we miss your smiling face and sweet kisses...Those were the best sweetheart...

Be well sweet girl...Play hard with your furends like you did with Dozer...

We all miss you girl

Thank you for watching over us Cheyanne

We Love you Chey
Mom & Dad

Please help these pups...So Tragic

I would like to say Thank You to Horst and Lisa for posting our story about Mike & Sue Kelm of Schaumburg Illinois.

You see they went out for a Motorcycle ride on Labor Day, just days before Sue's scheduled cancer surgery and were tragically killed leaving behind their only children...Their 4 Pups.

We are trying so desperately to find a home for these 4 amazing doggies. They are their own pack and pretty much take care of each other....

Please, Please cross post this story so these pups can find a good home. Here is their story...

Dogs of couple who die in crash need home

Hug your pups....

Thank you all so much
Sasha, Dozer, Cheyanne & Mom Kim
