Arrival Story:
I've always wanted a Great Dane. I had to wait though because I had Gracie, a beautiful Lab retired from the Seeing Eye breeding program. Gracie had had 63 puppies in her career and just wasn't up for another one, so I respected her wishes and waited. I would have waited many more years, but my Gracie was diagnosed with a horrible intestinal disorder that caused her to lose protein. She helped me make the decision to euthanize when she had had enough, she was only 12 years old. I mourned and looked for my Dane. I was looking for about 8 months for my Dane baby. Had a couple of false hopes and adoptions that fell through. Finally, the breeer I had contacted twice before had a 3rd litter. I though maybe the 3rd time would be the charm and I was right. I finally found him and he became the (dane) love of my life. Since it had taken me so long to find him, my friends threw me a puppy shower to welcome him to my life! It was so nice and such a surprise! I'll have to say, I was floored and did not expect a thing! I brought him home when he was 7 1/2 weeks old. I fell in love with him instantly! When we were at the breeders to pick him up, we were talking and letting him run around a bit, then I said "Ready to go?" He took the puppy papers I was holding gently from my hand and went walking towards the stairs. It was a goose-bump moment and I knew that he was definately my baby! I slept with him on his really big dog bed that first night. Now he doesn't fit on that really big bed, but he is still my baby! What a wonder.
Bio:
Perrin lives with Lileas (Lily) a cockapoo and 2 cats (Marissa & Kylara). He loves to play and do "zoomies" in the yard. He just doesn't realise how big he is! He would LOVE to play with the kitties, but he doesn't know he will hurt them. He also loves to play with his cousins, Mina and Raven. They have so much fun together.
