End of 2008

Well, I have been a busy boy and haven't been able to update everyone on my progress. I am now 9 months old and weigh 50#. My mom thinks she has maybe figured out what breed I am, but has sent some pictures to rescue groups to help identify me so she can better understand me.

Our vacation

We just got back from our trip to my grandmas house. I had such a good time and I really love Brough. She tolerated me well. My mom said she should have named me Gnat. We played and chased each other around the house and the yard. My mom put some video of us and pictures.

The thing I loved the most was the fact that my grandma's hand has a continuous supply of treats and I got to walk with Brough every day and run in the field without my leash. It was so much fun I can't wait to go back.

Weekend July 12th

I got to go to deer camp again. Wow, I really love that place. I like to ride in the golf cart with my mom and my Pee Paw. He says I am spoiled because I ride instead of run, but maybe when I grow up I can run.

I helped my dad dig and plant a food plot for the deer to come eat. I really like digging in the dirt. We are going to my grandma's in Tennessee next week and I can't wait. I am so excited to meet her guide dog, she's a Labradoodle and Mom said she's very tall.

July 10, 2008

I got my last round of puppy shots, my rabies and microchipped. That chip really hurt, but I was a big boy and didn't yelp at all. The day after my shots is hard for me, I always get a welp when they give them to me. But I am healthy and weighed 25.8 lbs. and am 17" at the shoulders.

My doctor said that I have a lot of Great Dane in me, but will be a smaller one so far. I might have been the runt of the litter, but at home I'm the king. She said that she can see me think things through without reacting first, a lot like a Great Dane. My hearing and vision could stay the same or could get worse, we don't know.

It doesn't matter, because my family loves me no matter what I am and that's all that matters.

4th of July

I have been to Tractor Supply and Petco. My mom didn't know that I could go into Tractor Supply, but they welcomed me with open arms. There were many nice people there and the smells. You can't believe the smells. I met a nice couple today and they said they thought I was Dalmation and Lab mix. I am not sure what I am, but I know that my family loves me and I love them too.

I wish all puppies could have the life I have, but hang in there guys, there is that special family for everyone.

July 4th

I wish my mom would have found this site sooner, but I guess it's never too late. I was suppose to get another set of puppy shots (ouch) on Saturday, but I had a stomach virus and we had to postpone until next Thursday. That's okay with me, those shots hurt. I have been learning lots of new tricks over the last 6 weeks. I will sit and lay down on command and sign language. I am working really hard at heeling, my mom says I'm a quick learner. The stay command is hard for me, I just want to stay with my mom.


I will try to update this diary as much as possible. Yesterday when I went to the vet because of my tummy, I weighed 23.7 lbs.
