I've joined all the little doggies in Heaven. On Sunday, Elisha found me in the back yard and I was unresponsive. She gave me a bath because I was covered in mud and she was hoping that would help me feel better. She knew things were bad during the bath because I didnt react, not even to shake the water off. After the bath, she only got more and more worried as I kept throwing up and I had really bad diarrhea.
Elisha called the vet and they told her to bring me in right away.
I saw one of my puppy neighbors there, but I didnt feel like looking at him, I just sat in the hamper she was keeping me in and tried not to throw up. Unfortunately, this one kid didnt listen when Elisha told her not to touch me and it made me throw up when she started petting me.
Thankfully, the vet called us in finally (an hour and a half after we got there, 2 and a half hours after Elisha found me). They did a Parvo test on me and told us it cam up as positive.
They told Elisha that because I was so small, I was only 3.1 pounds, even with treatment, I only stood a 20-40% chance of surviving and I would be in a lot of pain. Elisha talked it over with her family, neighbors, and vet before deciding that it would be better to put me to sleep than to make me suffer.
She saw how much pain I was in after only 4 hours and knew that without the money needed to keep me in 24 hour care for 6 days, I wouldn't make it and it would be extremely painful for me. She cried while she said goodbye, and I tried to comfort her, but it hurt too much to move. After another hour together, I was taken away by the doctors cause Elisha didnt want to see me die.
Elisha hopes that I found Buck, Coco, Patches, Max, Teal, and Bijou when I left so I'd at least have buddies in Heaven.
