Arrival Story:
We adopted Skylar from the San Diego County North Animal Shelter when he was a year old on Feb 22nd, 2005. He was never trained to do anything, and was a real pain in the tush... but we loved him. With lots of hard work it turned in such a sweet well behaved dog (for a husky that is).

Bio:
In Oct 2007 Skylar died a hero. A vicious dog that lived next door was set out to harm his 2 1/2 yr old human brother---Skylar's best friend since his human brother's birth. Close by Skylar was on a tie out (temp. mom was doing yard work and had the gate open to the backyard)... within the split second right before the vicious dog grabbed his human brother's arm, Skylar's tie snapped loose, attacking the dog just in time. Skylar died for his best friend.
