Yippee yaaaaa... SNOW

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy... it's snowing! It was snowing last night when we went to bed, and it's still snowing!!! We only got about an inch or so, but, hey, every little bit helps.
Of course Mom is at work... how are we supposed to play in the snow if Mom is at work??????????
OH MY GOSH..... I just saw the weather on the TV... it's supposed to warm way up to 50 degrees and RAIN!! In fact, when I got up this morning it was only 3 degrees, now it is 28 degrees already. DRATS... it will be warm and raining by the time Mom gets home from work. Can I EVER get some snow to play in???????????? Come on Santa, do your thing!!!

NO SNOW!!!!!!

Grrr... I ran to the window this morning when I first got up, hoping to see some nice, white snow! What did I see... NOTHING!!! There was a tiny, tiny bit of snow falling, but it didn't even hit the ground. Now the sun came out and melted that. I wouldn't be so upset if all my friends in Connecticut and Massachusetts weren't bragging about all the snow they got last night. Not fair, not fair at all!!!!!
Anyway, when Mom gets done cleaning she said we could go out and play anyway. We promised not to help her so she would finish faster!
Well, gotta go, Mom has finished her lunch so she's gonna get back to cleaning. HURRY MOM!!!!!!

Boring week!

Here it is Saturday night and I have done NOTHING except ride up to the store with Mom today. Then, we turned into McDonalds for lunch but the line was so long that Mom just left and went home. Of course, she didn't give us any lunch at home... not fair, not fair at all!!! She did bring Jenny home from the kennel, but all she wants to do is play with Beanie. She is totally ignoring me!
Mom says it's gonna snow tonight so tomorrow we can all go outside and play in the snow. I sure hope she's right this time, last time the snow all melted except for some piles that are in the shade. All they did was make some ice so we have to be very careful when we run. I could use a good run in the snow...need to clear my head out from being so bored all week in here. Mom didn't even take me to work one single day!!! Beanie went, Ali went, Thomas went, but me, nope, I had to stay home!!!!!!!!

Typical Monday...

Mom wasn't very busy at work today, so she came home and got her car and took it to the kennel to clean it out for our trip. She and Tonya took everything out, cleaned everything, and just put one crate back in there for me and Jenny to share when we go. We are both getting pretty excited. Last night Mom ordered some "socks" to put on the kayaks so they won't get all snow (ugh) and rain while they are driving down there. It had better not be raining on MY vacation!!! Mom says the average temperature down where we are going is 66 in January. That is SIX whole degrees warmer than she keeps our house!!! I can't wait!!!!!!
Mom left Jenny at the kennel. She said we are all getting too interested in her over here and she doesn't want any of us "boys" to start fighting over her. She thinks that is why I may be peeing in her bed. I'll never tell!!!!!! So, now it's just me and Beanie sleeping in there tonight.
Well, gotta go, my toesies are getting cold from typing again!

Saturday morning with Skye

Today was Tonya's day to work, so she brought Skye for me to play with. We got all the Christmas stuff out and she and Mom took some photos of some of us. Mom was looking thru all her photos and she said she couldn't find hardly any Christmas ones of us. Probably cuz they take photos of those boarding and grooming dogs for their owners over at work... remember the old story of the cobblers children having no shoes??? Well, it's like that around here too. Anyway, Mom didn't have the good flash over at work so she said it wasn't a very good day to do black dogs. She is always complaining about us black dogs...either it's too dark or it's too bright, or something. Skye did get one that she thought was cute so Mom put it on my page. Personally, I thought I looked pretty stupid, maybe even drunk, with my head cocked off to the side like that.
Man, last night I made a very big mistake in Mom's bed!!! She got up to feed Tyson and for some reason, I had to pee really bad, so I did it on her pillow. To confess here, I have been doing that for a few days now but she didn't know it was me until last night. She got very mad and made me sleep the rest of the night in my crate. I can't help it, Winter is dry and it makes me drink more and, as we all know, what goes in comes out!!!! I promised I wouldn't do it tonight... if I do she's gonna take me off to the vets!!! Not fair, not fair at all!!!!!

A day of play with our daughters.

Gracie came up from Boston today so Mom could groom her, so she came home and got me and Jenny and Pinki and brought us over so we could have a family reunion. It was pretty good... we all played and played and played. Mom took a gazillion photos of us, and found out she should have used the other camera, not one of them was very good. She did use one for our pages... she said it's sooo amazing how Pinki looks just exactly like her Mom, Jenny and Gracie looks exactly like ME, her Dad. But, Pinki acts exactly like me, and Gracie acts exactly like Jenny. Pretty neat how that works. Anyway, we all had fun but there were so many dogs over there and everyone was barking and barking so we couldn't wait to come home to our peaceful house! Right now we're napping until Mom gets home and gives us our dinner.

Busy as a beaver.......

I haven't written anything for quite a while cuz I have been very, very busy here. We've had quite a few outings lately. Mom is taking advantage of the still fairly warm weather and letting us run in the big yard. Yesterday it was pretty warm so she decided to decorate outside for Christmas. Well, me and Jenny and Pinki got to go get the boughs with her. Actually, the trees that grow them are in the labrador big yard, so we went down there and ran around while Mom cut some down. Then, we each carried a bundle of them up to the house for Mom. Their pen is way lower than our house and there is a big, big stone wall that drops down to the yard. Well, we were trying to see who could jump out the farthest over that wall. Jenny was scared, so it was between me and Pinki. Since she is my daughter, I will confess that she was jumping farther than me!!!!!
Anyway, after we got all the boughs, Mom made some wreaths with them and we helped! She wouldn't turn the lights on until after Thanksgiving, but we all gave thanks today, so they are on tonight. We walked outside with her and looked at them... pretty, but, personally, I think they could use some nice, fluffy white snow around them!!!! OH... Mom is yelling at me... she said to be careful what I was wishing for!!!!!!!!!!

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.........

I suppose you all probably guessed by now that I am not fond of cold weather. Jenny LOVES it, but I've often thought there was something wrong with her! Me and Mom hate the cold, and so she put a heater right under her desk and it warms her (and ME) all evening while we are waiting for it to get dark enough to go to bed. She keeps the thermoset at 60 degrees cuz she says it's better for all of us. Yeah, right, I'm not sure I follow that logic??? During the day I usually stay in the dog room with everyone else, but it's pretty warm in there cuz it's on the South side of the house and gets the nice sunshine. When we go to bed I get to sleep right next to Mom under the comforter and on the warm water bed. Ummmm, cozy!
Well, I guess Mom and Julie have finally decided that me and Jenny can really go to Florida with them. We are supposed to not brag about it to Beanie cuz he's gonna stay home and keep Bubbles company over at the kennel. I absolutely cannot wait... warm sunshine and nice pleasant kayak trips. Mom said they are not gonna set a single alarm!!! Today I saw her and Julie lug the kayaks up to the kennel and put them in there. She also put the roof racks in there, too. They wanted to make sure they could get to them if we get lots of snow like we did last year. I sure hope no daycare dogs pee on them!!! Well, my toesies are getting cold from typing this so I gotta go hop in my bed under the desk!

Hmmm, lots of gossip from Jenny

Jenny was pretty tired tonight when she got home, and her eyes were still dilated so she couldn't type good, so, here goes... first of all, she said there was tons and tons of snow all over the place up that way. We got some snow here, but not much at all, it's mostly just plain COLD!! I am excited that the snow is coming... we LOVE snow!! It was all over the trees and the grass and especially on the mountains. Mom took some photos to show us, and we were jealous. She was gonna take Jenny's photo in the snow, but Julie didn't want that...Jenny was sitting on Julie's lap and would get her all cold and wet!!!
Also, Jenny overhead Julie and Mom discussing their Florida vacation. Julie said she would miss her dogs while they were gone. Well, Mom said they were certainly NOT bringing a lab (that's what Julie has), then Julie asked Mom if Jenny would sleep on her bed at night. Mom said sure, next thing she heard was them planning on bringing both ME and her with them!!!! We are really, really excited!!! No snow, but I guess we can live with that as long as we get to go in the kayaks. I guess they found out the alligators won't eat us IF we stay in the kayaks? Jenny has never been on an overnight trip... she will have so much fun staying in a motel... I LOVE to go on long trips, and I will teach her all the things she needs to know!!!
Anyway, then Jenny was telling about staying in a crate with Pinki... Pinki was getting all kissy face with Jenny, so Jenny wouldn't let her lay down in the crate. She said she was pretty sure that Mom would get mad at her and put Jenny in the front seat. It worked, so she was very happy after that. I swear I smelled chicken on her breath, but she didn't mention anything about chicken. Hmmm, I KNOW I smelled it!!!
Then Jenny said the eye doctor had an intern with him, and they both looked extra long at her and Pinki's eyes. Mom asked if something was wrong and he said that they both had very, very easy to see parts in their eyes, so it was good for the intern. That was nice, I guess. I have good eyes, too.... I went once and that Dr. said my eyes were very good, too!!!
And, finally, Jenny said that every dog was very, very good except that Jones did a HUGE big poop right in his crate, then he and Maude walked thru it and smooched it all over. They had to clean it out and put new beds in it, and it still smelled!!! Hehehe! Glad I was home and didn't have to smell that!!!
Well, gotta go, Mom entered us in a photo contest and they just posted the finalists....

Our Sunday afternoon run

Well, Mom took us down to the field finally, but there was a very, very cold, sharp wind blowing. It's hard to believe that it was 69 degrees at 9 pm last night and it's 39 degrees at 4 pm now!!! Brrrr. Mom wore her new ear muffs so she couldn't hear us barking! Anyway, we wore our hunting blazers for some reason, I haven't figured that out yet. Jenny ran the most, but we all had a good time, then we hopped in the car and went grocery shopping with Mom. Nothing good for us dogs, tho. Boo hoo. Now we are all napping waiting to go to bed.
