This afternoon it was over 80 degrees outside! Mom had already decided to go kayaking with Sarah and Julia. So, they took me, of course, and Beanie and Ali and Georgie.
When we got to the pond we were all surprised at how COLD it was up there. The breeze was very warm but the air itself was COLD. Good thing none of us got wet, BOL!
We had a great time, as usual. Mom knows a man that lives up there and walks up to the pond every night. He always visits with Mom and they discuss the wildlife we see. Well, Mom decided to make a calendar with some of the wildlife photos she took and give it to him so she was very happy to see him there tonight.
He was telling us all about the flood. It went right around his house and filled his cellar. Worse, it washed away the bridge so he was stuck in his barn for TWELVE whole days until they got the bridge replaced and the road fixed. Mom said his car is still up on a pile of rocks across the road.
HEY, Mom just said that we are probably going kayaking tomorrow with Skye and we ARE going again on Monday with Angelica and Giselle. WOW, THREE times in one weekend. Exciting!!!
