We had a pretty good kayaking trip today, but there were a few little snags. The worst problem was when we first started and I discovered a HUGE crack in my kayak. I was all set to abandon ship, convinced we were gonna crash and sink. Skye reached over and touched the crack and started laughing... OOPS, it was a cobweb!!! Come on now, you guys look at that photo of the crack and tell me that doesn't look like a serious crack!!!
Another little issue was that Skye paid way more attention to Beanie than she did to me! She even asked Mom if Beanie could ride with her instead of me. Can you imagine that nerve? If it wasn't for me, she wouldn't have even been invited along for the ride! Some special friend she is! I did forgive her, though, and give her a great big kiss on the lips after she gave me some of that ham sandwich!!! But, there was mustard on it, and I don't care too much for mustard.
The final problem was that Skye discovered there is a big pocket on my Coach jacket. Well, she put a bunch of cookies in it so she and I could have a snack on the way back from the island. That was fine, in fact, it seemed like a great idea. Unfortunately, we didn't eat all the cookies, and I had to keep pushing Jenny off me all the way home. If I hadn't, she would have chewed a great big hole in my new jacket! Hey, Coach people, how come there was no pocket in Jenny's jacket so I could have bugged her when she was trying to sleep? Not fair!
Otherwise, we did have lots and lots of fun. It was kind of cool, but I guess that's better than too hot, and, for once this whole kayaking season, it didn't rain a single drop!!!
