This morning it was cold and cloudy. Mom said we could go to the pond after work and take the labbies and have a picnic. Finally, it was time and the sun was sort of coming thru the clouds so off we went.
When we got there it was windy and COLD and very misty and cloudy. Sooo, we parked at the hiking side and took off for the picnic end of the pond. Worse, there was only a tiny bit of pretty foliage...most of it was plain old brown!
Ali and I were baby sitting Quincy and Gemma and it was HARD work! Finally, Mom put them back on their leashes so we could have a break. I hopped up on a HUGE rock and rested AFTER I looked for some leftover lunch. NONE!
Mom picked some big, tall weeds for her friend so on the way home we stopped at her house. Suddenly, the sun was out FULLY and it was HOT. Mom left us in the car but she left ALL the doors open. Not too bad. She also has a boarding kennel so I talked to all the boarding dogs while I waited for Mom and Julia.
On the way home we saw a baby deer standing in the field right close to us. Mom backed up, gave the camera to Julia and she got some shots of it. It still has its Bambi spots!!! Mom put a picture on MY page so you can all see it!!!
When we got home Mom and Julia took ALL the kayaks and kayaking stuff and put them away in the big shed. They even took off the roof racks. Guess Summer is really over!!!
