I am such a smart boy!

Dad had his doubts, but Mom knew! I have been going through obedience training and Dad had started saying he thought it would be really difficult but boy was he wrong!

I don't exactly like walking on a leash but I will do it. But where I have really impressed my Dad is with learning to sit! I learned in about 20 minutes and now all my Mom and Dad have to say is 'sit' and I sit down. Dad was so impressed! Even though Mom knew all along she was so proud of me as well! Mom wants to work on some of the things that I do that she doesn't like so well. I like to jump up and kiss Mom on her face but sometimes I forget and use too much teeth. Mom is afraid I will really hurt someone so we have to work on that.

BUT, I am so smart! Mom knows it will be no time and I will be laying and rolling over, and then who knows? I am such a smart boy!!

Vet says I need to lose some weight!!

What an rude thing for him to say! I weigh 29 lbs. and the vet really wants me to be 27 lbs. to be at an ideal weight. Actually I really feel like I just need more exercise. It's been very cold and very wet here so I am not chasing the tennis ball as much as I do during nicer weather. My mommy will make sure I get this weight off....she is constantly watching her own weight and my kitty brofur George's as well.....so she knows a thing or two about losing weight. Otherwise, I am a very healthy boy!! Mommy could not be happier!! :)

I am a slim guy now!

Mommy got that extra weight off me! I am actually a trim 26 lbs now. Mommy could not be happier. Sometimes my hips and back legs bother me but with the extra weight off I feel great! I chase the tennis ball, and I chase the tennis ball and I chase the tennis ball until I can't go anymore. I LOVE chasing the ball!

Today is my birthday!!

....and I know exactly what I want! I want for all puppies and kitties in the world who do not have homes to find forever homes just like I did! My mommy and my poppy have given several of us puppies and kitties who had no one to love them forever homes. I just wish all homeless puppies and kitties could be so lucky. That is my birthday wish!!
